Role Overview:

We’re seeking a hands‑on analytics professional to lead Retention Analytics at McAfee. In this role, you will provide data‑driven, actionable insights into subscriber journeys, lifecycle performance, and the effectiveness of retention marketing efforts—strengthening retention outcomes.
You will partner closely with the Engagement and Retention team, Finance, Product, and the broader Analytics organization to shape annual and quarterly plans, uncover and explain performance trends, identify opportunities, and turn insights into clear, actionable recommendations that drive business impact. You will also lead business planning and forecasting for Retention and ensure findings are communicated effectively through regular business reviews and other leadership forums.
As part of McAfee’s analytics organization, you will report to the Senior Director of Engagement and Retention Analytics. You’ll be embedded within key parts of the business, aligned to the customer journey, and bring deep domain knowledge to day‑to‑day collaboration.
This is a remote position located in the United States but you will be required to be onsite on an as needed basis. When you are not working onsite you will work from your home office.

  • Drive  the insights and prepare executive‑ready materials for leadership reviews, clearly communicating retention trends, pacing to plan, and progress on strategic initiatives

  • Build annual and quarterly plans in partnership with key stakeholders across Engagement and Retention, Finance, and Product.

  • Own retention forecasting, monitor performance vs. plan, and communicate risks and opportunities.

  • Measure the impact of retention initiatives and A/B tests, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and optimize messaging based on results.

  • Modernize data reporting, partnering with the Data Engineering  Team to automate dashboards, and reduce manual work to focus on high-value analysis and insights.

  • Analyze subscriber behavior to uncover churn risks, conversion levers, and journey pain points.

  • Identify high-value segments for targeting to drive loyalty and reduce churn.

  • Manage and coach a team of 2-4 analysts, setting priorities, reviewing outputs, and investing in skills development.

About You:

  • Experience: 7+ years in an analytical, management consulting, finance, or similar role—including people-leadership experience (3+ years).

  • Analytical problem-solving: Proven ability to structure and solve exploratory problems; strong attention to detail and accuracy in analysis and reporting; effective decision-making under uncertainty.

  • Business communication: Excellent verbal/written communication; ability to translate complex concepts into simple, executive-ready narratives and visuals.

  • Productivity & tools: Advanced Excel and MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

  • Data & coding fluency: A self-starter who isn’t afraid to get hands dirty—comfortable using SQL, Python, and generative AI tools as needed to access data and deliver analysis, even if not a coding expert.

  • Ways of working: Thrives in a fast-paced environment; collaborates across time zones; builds strong relationships and cross-functional alignment to accomplish objectives.
