The Role: 

As our Senior Engineering Manager focusing on product engineering, you will play a crucial role mentoring peers and delivering high-quality web applications. You will identify new opportunities for enhancing our digital products and set the direction and roadmap for full-stack engineering initiatives. Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams you’ll ensure seamless integration of web technologies into our products, setting new standards for user experience and application performance. 

Location: This is a hybrid role where you'll be onsite 2-3 days a week in our SF, CA or NY, NY office. 

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, lead, and mentor a team of full-stack engineers in designing and developing scalable web applications using Node.js and ReactJS
  • Establish and maintain coding standards, code reviews, and continuous integration practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions 
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of project plans and contribute to architectural decisions 
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in web development and advocate for their appropriate adoption 

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience as a Tech Lead, or in a management role, with a hands-on approach to coaching and mentoring full-stack engineers
  • 6+ years of experience in API and web development using Object oriented languages like Typescript, C#, and Java
  • Experience working in Private Markets or Financial Services space specifically with financial markets data 
  • Experience in other scripting languages like Python for data tasks. Familiarity with the modern data architectures (Medallion, Datalakes etc) 
  • Proven expertise in setting up CI/CD pipelines, data orchestration, managing application deployments, and ensuring code quality
  • Proficient in building end-to-end web applications from prototype to production, including backend APIs with Node.js and frontend interfaces with ReactJS
  • Strong project management skills, leading small engineering teams (2-5 members) through the software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment, with hands-on coding in both backend and frontend 
  • Proficient in Databases like PostgreSQL and SQL queries and experience with cloud platforms like AWS or similar (Azure, GCP etc) 
  • Extensive experience with version control systems like Git and platforms like GitHub. Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA or similar

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience in migrating web applications or systems from legacy architectures to modern tech stacks. 
  • Experience with NestJS framework. 
  • Knowledge of real-time data processing and event-driven architectures using technologies like WebSockets or Kafka(or equivalent) 
  • Experience in leading offshore and nearshore teams. 

For residents of San Francisco/Bay Area, CA or New York, NY the annual salary range for this role is $245,000 - $270,000 + annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, annual bonus, and other factors.
