The Role:
Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, the Senior Director, Precision Engagement will lead a team responsible for identifying, engaging, and triaging high-potential patient leads within a rare lung mutation space. This individual will transform data insights into actionable strategies, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders. The Senior Director will drive the execution of lead generation efforts, establish key performance metrics, and optimize engagement strategies to enhance patient identification and access.

Responsibilities:
•    Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team: Recruit, develop, and manage a team focused on clinical lead generation and engagement strategies.
•    Strategic Lead Generation & Engagement: Utilize acquired data sets to identify potential patients, engage healthcare professionals (HCPs), and direct leads to appropriate internal teams or handle outreach directly.
•    Triage & Coordination: Ensure efficient routing of identified patient cases to Sales, Medical Affairs, and Market Access teams for appropriate follow-up and intervention.
•    Metrics & Accountability: Establish KPIs and follow-up processes to ensure accountability in lead management, tracking conversion rates and engagement success.
•    Data Utilization & Insights: Identify and implement strategies that leverage Nuvalent’s purchased data sets to optimize patient identification and outreach efforts.
•    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Field Sales, Medical, and Marketing teams to ensure a seamless approach to patient finding and provider engagement.
•    Omnichannel Engagement: Develop and oversee omnichannel communication strategies, incorporating digital tools and CRM systems to maximize outreach effectiveness.
•    Market & Competitive Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to continuously refine Nuvalent’s lead generation approach.

 
Competencies Include:
•    Strategic Thinking & Execution: Ability to translate data and insights into actionable lead generation and engagement strategies.
•    Leadership & Team Development: Proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams in a commercial or clinical engagement setting.
•    Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong ability to analyze data, implement tracking mechanisms, and drive continuous improvement through insights.
•    Collaboration & Influence: Adept at working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align patient-finding efforts with overall business objectives.
•    Customer Engagement Excellence: Deep understanding of HCP engagement, inside sales methodologies, and best practices in patient identification.
•    Accountability & Performance Management: Ability to set clear expectations, define success metrics, and ensure follow-through on lead generation efforts.

Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•    10+ years of experience in commercial roles within the biopharmaceutical industry, including sales, patient engagement, or lead generation.
•    Prior leadership experience managing inside sales, business development, or patient identification teams.
•    Oncology launch experience required; rare disease or targeted therapy experience preferred.
•    Proven track record of leveraging data-driven strategies to optimize outreach and engagement efforts.
•    Strong understanding of CRM systems, omnichannel engagement tools, and lead-tracking methodologies.
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
•    Periodic travel may be required.
