About the role

The Senior Director of Operations will drive operational excellence and scalability at Two Chairs. As a key leader on the Operations team, you will define key elements of our operating strategy and own management of our clinical supply operations. This will include owning and optimizing processes to ensure clients receive high-quality care quickly while enabling clinicians to work effectively and sustainably. This is a high-impact role, blending strategic thinking, operational execution, and team leadership. You'll be at the center of transformative initiatives, balancing the demands of growth with a relentless focus on quality.

Preferably based in the San Francisco Bay Area, this position offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Clinical Care, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and Client Growth. You'll directly shape the success of Two Chairs by influencing its most critical business decisions, building scalable systems, and coaching a diverse team of professionals.

Core Areas of Responsibility

Strategic Supply/Demand Management

  • Manage and optimize our clinical supply utilization across the Two Chairs ecosystem.
  • Enhance forecasting models and ensure cross-functional alignment between demand projections and operational capacity.
  • Drive decision-making processes to achieve both short-term targets and long-term scalability goals.

Process Design & Operational Excellence

  • Design and implement scalable referral operations, credentialing, and care navigation processes.
  • Partner cross-functionally to enhance efficiency, drive client conversion, maximize margin opportunity, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Continuously refine systems to address operational challenges and increase operational scale.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead a team of individual contributors and managers, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship across various skill levels.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration across teams, creating an environment where team members are successful and thrive.

Impact and Success Indicators

Where you'll make an impact in the first 90 days:

  • Build a deep understanding of Two Chairs' supply and demand dynamics, tools, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Identify and prioritize immediate opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Establish strong relationships with team members and cross-functional partners.

Where you'll make an impact in the first year:

  • Deliver measurable improvements to clinical utilization and team efficiency metrics.
  • Lead the successful integration of operational support for potential new service offerings, which may include areas such as unit economics and process design challenges.
  • Develop and execute a strategy for entering new markets that balances growth, utilization, and scalability.

 We're looking for someone (with):

  • Leading an evolving and increasingly complex business: Experience scaling operations at high-growth organizations, leading through increased complexity of a multi-dimensional business (e.g., from Series B to Series D and later)
  • Exceptional business judgment: You understand the broader organizational goals and are skilled at balancing short-term targets with long-term goals.
  • Process orientation: You thrive on scaling operations and ensuring efficient and adaptable processes.
  • Data expertise: You're highly analytical, comfortable diving into data to identify trends, and adept at using insights to drive decision-making.
  • Collaborative leadership: You excel in cross-functional settings, working effectively with teams ranging from engineers to clinicians.
  • Empathy and adaptability: You create a supportive, inclusive team culture while navigating complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Bay Area Location (preferred): Proximity to Two Chairs' office to enable close collaboration with key partners.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this full-time, exempt role is $212,000 - $250,000. The final offer is dependent on the hired candidate's qualifications and experience.
