What you will do:

Will serve as senior leader responsible for implementation projects. Will manage and direct a
team of 10+ implementation professionals charged with designing, structuring and overseeing
multiple end to end implementation and delivery projects for new and existing customers.
Specific duties include:

  • Managing and guiding an Implementation team composed of 10+ professionals
    (Directors, Senior Managers and Managers) who oversee cross-functional project teams
    of 10-15 resources each, to execute end-to-end implementation of AI based prior
    authorization solutions for health plan customers and beyond (new product
    solutions/verticals). These duties include selection and hiring of team members,
    directing training, assigning team members to projects, day-to-day management of
    team members, setting goals and managing expectations. Will also build and manage a
    multi-layer growth plan for members of the Implementation team from entry level roles
    to more senior implementation role, including performance evaluation and
    management strategies.
  • Managing and directing the process by which existing playbooks and infrastructure
    (people, process, and tools) required to support scaling health plan customer
    implementations focused on prior auth/ UM SaaS and service-based solutions, ensuring
    consistent and swift launches for new customers are refined and revised to reflect the
    evolving Cohere Health product suite and the market.
  • Identifying and defining new playbooks as Cohere Health grows to include other models
    beyond health plan customers i.e. value based solutions, EHR solutions etc. and scaling
    the same
  • Building strong relationships with key customers and managing and directing client
    communications during the implementation process to ensure lasting success during
    delivery. Managing customer escalations and senior client communications in case of
    any delivery risks and concerns.
  • Continually monitoring and revising existing implementation strategies as the market for
    the Cohere Health technology grows and matures factoring in the unique nature of our
    payer and risk-bearing provider customers and the variety of offered solutions.
  • Partnering with leadership in Sales and solutioning teams on client proposals, RFP
    responses and pitch presentations to prospective clients.
  • Overseeing and ensuring that handoffs from the Activation teams to the
    Implementation team and from the Implementation team to the Client Success team in
    accordance with company SOPs and are handled properly and together with leadership
    serving as a thought partner in refining and up-dating the handoff process with these
    teams.
  • Providing leadership in building implementation expertise for the Cohere solution and
    creating scalable onboarding and training strategies for implementation team resources.
  • Establishing a multi-year strategy and roadmap for the Implementation team from
    building rigor and cohesiveness to identifying efficiencies and getting to full scale to
    drive the organization for best in class.

Requirements:
Position requires a Master’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Business
Administration, Finance, or a closely related field and 6 years of client facing delivery
experience in a senior consultant position, which includes five 5 years of experience at a
Manager level leading and managing health plan implementations.

Must also have 6 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the
primary experience requirement above) working with the following which includes 5 years of
experience managing and leading teams responsible for the following:

  • Working on end-to-end implementations for health plan customers including
    customer engagement, project management, internal and external communication
    and cross-functional collaboration;
  • Working with value-based care models, novel care models including advanced primary
    care, payer, provider, and digital health trends as well as utilization management and
    prior authorization processes associated with health insurance plans across
    Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans;
  • Delivering complex large scale health plan technology implementations and working
    cross functionally with product, engineering and clinical teams on implementation
    strategy and delivery;
  • Overseeing customer reporting, including analytical insights using data mining, data
    visualization, and modeling tools including Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Working with health plans in customer-facing roles, with a strong orientation towards
    customer service mindset including interacting with key senior stakeholders, including
    C-suite and VP level stakeholders on a regular basis; and
  • Building out growth strategies and financial business cases for health plans, to be able
    to bring a strategic lens to implementations.

Must also have at least 2 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with
the other experience requirements listed above) working at a Director level position with the
following:

  • Leading end to end implementations for Utilization Management Healthcare / AI
    based solutions for health plans;
  • Leading the inception and growth of a dedicated implementation team and crafting a
    comprehensive strategy for scaling implementation at a healthcare technology
    company;
  • Building and managing cross-functional project teams to execute end-to-end
    implementation of AI-based prior authorization solutions for health plans; and
  • Defining playbooks and infrastructure (people, process, and tools) required to support
    scaling health plan customer implementations focused on prior auth/UM SaaS and
    service-based solutions.

Up to 25% domestic travel required.

This is a telecommuting position working from home. May reside anywhere in the United
States.

The salary range for this position is $255,944.00 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Cohere is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
