About this role:

As an Expert Data Scientist on the Analytic Services team, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making for our clients.  You will focus on measurement and analytics initiatives for customers, collaborating closely with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams. This role is pivotal in providing analytics solutions and generating insights using LiveRamp’s suite of products and collaboration technologies, enabling customers to understand their data better and make data-driven decisions.

This role combines technical proficiency with strategic client engagement, requiring you to be innovative yet logical in applying statistical methods and analytical solutions.  You will lead analytic engagements working directly with our most complex clients and datasets.  This includes leading data discovery sessions to understand our customer’s business needs and translating those needs into specific analytic requirements. You will develop analytical models to inform audience strategy and define measurement frameworks.  You will leverage your consultative, analytical and technical skills to deliver thoughtful insights that inform client business decisions.

To be successful, you should be data-curious, consultative, have a strong grasp of media measurement and statistical methods, and be eager to dive into technical and analytical detail.  You should be an avid problem solver and embrace new and evolving data tools.

You will:

  • Lead measurement initiatives; develop KPIs and learning plans for LiveRamp customers in support of their marketing objectives

  • Develop, implement, and maintain analytics systems, tools, and frameworks that enable efficient analysis for customers

  • Design approaches for observational analytics, including mining multi-dimensional datasets, and experimental methods to build templates and libraries of analysis that can scale across various customer use cases and verticals.

  • Consult and advise clients and internal teams on audience strategy, experimental design, data requirements gathering, and post-campaign measurement using statistical and mathematical concepts to drive business solutions and actionable recommendations

  • Get hands-on with customer data to drive insights, answer key business questions, and enable campaign optimization.

  • Identify and communicate areas to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.

  • Create compelling presentations and effectively communicate complex analytical concepts to business and technical audiences

  • Speak and present both internally and externally, leveraging data to tell a story

  • Build up a strong understanding and expert knowledge of the various data sources brought together for data enrichment and collaboration

  • Work directly with customer stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate updates and findings, and build relationships

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members 

About you: 

  • Master’s degree in Math, Statistics, Predictive Analytics or other quantitative discipline

  • 8+ years of relevant experience within digital adtech or professional services in an analytics function

  • Hands-on fluency in performing data and statistical analysis using SQL, Python, PySpark, BigQuery, and/or R

  • Proficiency in data visualization and storytelling with data

  • Proven experience in data analysis and measurement methodologies, including campaign test design and measurement, media optimization, statistical modeling and segmentation in a data science or analytic consulting role

  • Experience in developing KPIs and learning plans for marketing objectives

  • Ability to design and implement analytics systems and frameworks

  • Strong quantitative and research skills with proven ability to tell data driven stories and articulate strategic business and marketing recommendations

  • Attention to detail and time management, producing high quality, client-ready analytic deliverables across multiple projects and client engagements

  • Proficient in integrating multiple data sources (1st-party, 3rd-party, media activity) and utilizing creative analytical approaches to answer client audience insight or campaign performance questions

  • Excel at working in ambiguous environments in a consultative/advisory manner with clients

The approximate annual base compensation range is $124,000 to $187,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geography, as well as internal equity among our team.
