About the role

Chime is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to join our Growth Product team, focused on driving top-of-funnel performance. In this role, you’ll help shape product strategies that define the future of funnel measurement and experimentation at Chime. You’ll lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives, using data to inform strategic decisions and uncover opportunities through deep analysis and experimentation. Chime is deeply member-obsessed, and this role is key to understanding how users engage with our product—enabling us to deliver a more seamless and personalized experience.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $140,670 and up to $195,400. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Own top-of-funnel product performance, defining metrics and measurement strategies that guide roadmap priorities and product decisions.
  • Design and analyze experiments to improve conversion, activation, and early engagement across the user journey.
  • Use behavioral segmentation and product data to uncover insights, shape hypotheses, and identify high-impact opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to translate insights into personalized, seamless experiences that drive member adoption.
  • Advise roadmap, analysis and metric ideation, and strategic discussions with stakeholders.
  • Build strong partnerships. Collaborate across Marketing, Product, Finance, Operations & Member Experience, and Risk to ensure your insights drive real impact.
  • Ask "why" a lot—your curiosity and data skills will push the boundaries of what we understand and how we grow.

To thrive in this role, you have

  • 5+ years in data-focused roles (excluding internships), with a strong focus on growth analytics.
  • Expertise in SQL - you innately translate business questions to queries, understand the edge cases of joins, and can explore a warehouse to find data most appropriate to the problem.
  • Experience driving product analytics for landing page optimization, full-funnel experimentation, and measurement to inform A/B tests and improve conversion across the user journey.
  • Familiarity in R or python - you write reproducible code and have a tendency toward automation.
  • Hands-on experience with BI/Visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc).
  • Experience building metric frameworks to understand user behaviors.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a clear framework for how Analytics partners with business units to drive strategy.
  • A focus on impact – you go beyond insights and recommendations to see your work through to execution, driving measurable change in the business.
  • Bonus: prior experience utilizing and owning third-party web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, UTMs, etc.) to analyze web behavior and conversion attribution.
