We're seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager - Compete, to come aboard the Personio rocket ship as we become the category leader in HR software for SMEs. Your role will be critical to making sure Personio stands out from the competition in this rapidly evolving market.
You'll be responsible for developing actionable competitive insights that drive our business strategy and sales success. You will monitor the competitive landscape in a scalable way, assemble compelling sales tools and profiles of top competitors that really do help us win, as well as enable sales teams with your competitive insight.
Who we are looking for
We need someone who is adaptable, driven, curious, and analytical. You'll be able to dig deep to uncover competitive insights and take action to increase our competitive win rate. We're looking for someone who is independent, collaborative, and will be inspired and motivated by Personio's mission of enabling better organisations.
Role responsibilities

  • Understand the Competitive Landscape: Become a subject matter expert by leveraging market research, engage with customer facing teams, speaking with customers and get hands on with competitive products.
  • Develop Competitive Messaging: Craft differentiated and compelling competitive messaging that helps to position Personio's Intelligent HR Platform as the leader in the marketplace.
  • Assemble Compelling Sales Tools: Create and maintain a competitive sales toolkit including battlecards, objection handling, FAQ's and pitch decks. Also own competitive web pages and competitive case studies.
  • Build Sales Proficiency: Partner with Sales Enablement to help our sales teams compete with confidence including competitive training & certification.
  • Perform Win/Loss Analysis: Support win/loss analysis to understand trends & feedback so it can be used to iterate on compete programs.
  • Partner Across Teams: Function as competitive subject matter expert across product management, sales, customer success, analyst relations, and broader marketing teams


Knowledge, skills and experience requirements

  • Experience:
    • You have 6+ years of experience in product marketing where you focused on messaging, asset development & sales enablement, previous compete experience is a plus!
    • Track record of developing content & providing enablement that drives sales impact
    • Comfortable working cross functionally across product, sales & marketing functions
  • Curiosity: Curious and analytical mindset to synthesize data & inputs into actionable insights, messaging & content.
  • Craft: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and persuasive content.
  • Organized: Good project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
