monday.com is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to grow our external communications efforts across our key markets and verticals. This person will have experience pitching all kinds of stories, shaping messaging, tracking stories, and building campaigns. More than anything, this person lives for media relations. From developing the angle to securing the piece, this role will own the process from A to Z and work with the team to maximize impact. 

As our Senior Communications Manager, you’ll work closely with every part of our company to build our media presence founded on our brand values. You’ll help build and scale a global strategy and support the growth of all our external communications to deliver customized approaches across product, corporate, consumer, and enterprise news worldwide.

About The Role

  • Create and implement press-worthy national and regional media campaigns; craft, pitch, and drive story ideas to business, technology, and broadcast reporters to drive coverage
  • Draft and edit press releases, pitches, briefing documents, media summaries and more
  • Develop and manage media relationships with key US reporters
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to find stories to tell and ensure that our target markets are well-informed about monday.com’s activities
  • Develop timely reactive responses as needed
  • Provide counsel and support to the monday.com team around areas such as brand awareness and crisis management
  • Own back office responsibilities, including coverage monitoring and reporting, research reports, and more
  • Consistently represent the monday.com brand, its values, and key messages



Requirements

  • 7+ years of PR experience (agency experience preferred)
  • Media relations background and strong media relationships; successful history working on feature stories, profiles, executive Q&As, and contributed content
  • Experience managing executive engagements at conferences and events
  • You are outcomes and results-focused. You know how to prioritize strategy and goals for teams and rally everyone to focus on the highest-impact initiatives
  • Strong executive presence and comfortable presenting projects and insights at larger meetings
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once and can produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Collaborates well within and across teams and can give and receive constructive feedback

For New York City-based hires only: Compensation Range: $120,000-$135,000 base salary, subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. In addition to base salary, the role includes opportunity to receive and/or earn a discretionary bonus and/or equity based on Company’s plans and in accordance with Company’s policies. Compensation finally awarded to the candidate will be commensurate with the candidate’s skills and experience. Compensation ranges for candidates in locations outside of New York City may differ based on the cost of labor and such additional factors for such other locations.
