The role

We are looking for a highly motivated and data-driven Senior Collections Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will reach out to customers in order to collect on invoices issued and manage our collections agency efforts. You will also help with billing, account reconciliations, and other accounting projects as needed. This role works closely with the Controller, Customer Experience team, and Finance team to provide the best possible customer experience during the collections process.

What you'll be doing 

  • Contact customers by phone and email in order to collect outstanding balances
  • Submit past due invoices to a collection agency
  • Monitor accounts on a daily basis
  • Identify outstanding account receivables
  • Investigate historical data for debts and bills and assist with customer account reconciliations
  • Take actions in order to encourage timely payments
  • Process payments and refunds
  • Resolve billing issues
  • Resolve customer credit issues
  • Contact clients and discuss their overdue payments
  • Update account status records 
  • Prepare and present reports on collection activities and progress
  • Act as an interface between the collections agency and AspireIQ
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports and KPIs for Finance and Executive team

What we’re looking for

  • BA/BS (Accounting, Finance or another business-relevant degree) OR
  • 3+ years of collections experience
  • Knowledge of collection laws and regulations
  • Advance knowledge of functions & formulas in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with GSuite, Slack, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Online, SalesForce
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven high level of confidentiality and professionalism
