Description

A Senior Business Applications Consultant has developed a specialization within a specific domain of expertise. The position requires the ability to work independently and in teams. Senior consultants are often responsible for completing parts of projects or activities for which they lead a small team. They must also be client-oriented and able to explore sales activities.

A Senior Consultant could specialize in multiple roles. These include, but are not limited to, Accounting and Finance, Materials Management, Human Capital Management, Quality Management Systems, Earned Value Management, Workforce Management, and Managed Services. 

General Responsibilities

This is a customer-facing position

 Working with clients

  •  Demonstrate functional knowledge of Costpoint Core and add-on functionality
  • Organize and execute assigned business projects on behalf of clients according to client’s requirements
  • Collect information about the client’s business through a variety of methods (shadowing, interviews, surveys, reading reports, and other means)
  • Analyze and interpret data to expose weaknesses and problems to comprehend the causes
  • Formulate recommendations and solutions with attention to client requests, capabilities, and limitations, forming concise reports
  • Present findings and suggestions to clients with justification and practical advice
  • Develop detailed design documents for clients and coordinate the plan for action
  • Assist the client in implementing the plan and resolve any occasional discrepancies
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet client requirements and quality standards

 Working within Infotek

  •  Mentor other consultants and provide required guidance to other resources such as developers, Project Managers, Sales, data engineers, and technical engineers
  • Provide process improvement ideas for client-supported activities for the internal team to utilize
  • Provide a level of effort for new activities to the Sales Team
  • Develop and maintain internal and client-facing documentation, user guides, and implementation templates
  • Work with the Sales and Marketing teams to define new or updated materials
  • Coordinate with the Project Management Office on the activities required to maintain project plans
  • Adaptable to learn new skills and modules as directed by the Manager
Requirements

5+ years of experience with the below Deltek Products based on the assigned role

Proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Office 365, with associated tools

Able to lead full implementations and train others on basic, intermediate, and admin processes within the following Costpoint modules or add-on applications based on assigned role 

  • A&F: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Consolidations, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Multicurrency, Advanced Project Budgeting, Billing, Budgeting, Planning, Cost and Revenue Processing, Project Setup, Inter-Company Work Orders, Subcontractor Management, Fixed Assets, Time Collection, and Expense
  • Materials: Procurement, Seller, Manufacturing, Advanced Manufacturing, Quality Management and Shop Floor Time
  • HCM: Payroll, Benefits, Time Collection, and Expense
  • QMS: TIPQA and TIPSFE
  • EVM: Project Set-up, Cobra
  • WFM: Replicon and Polaris
  • Managed Services Consultants must be able to effectively and efficiently complete the required processing for clients associated with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, General Ledger, Cost and Revenue Processing, Project Setup, Inter-Company Work Orders, and Time Collection reconciliation

Must be willing to work occasional nights and weekends if required

The job is remote and may require some travel

Preferred Experience/Skills

5+ years of experience as a Business Applications Consultant or similar role

Familiarity with a wide selection of business management software and databases

Required Education/Certifications

BSc/BA in finance, business administration, or relevant field preferred, although years of experience will be considered instead of a Bachelor's degree

Deltek Certified in the below areas or the ability to become certified within 1 year of employment dependent upon the assigned role

  •  A&F: Costpoint Master, Accounts Payable, Billing & Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Projects
  • Materials: Materials Master, Manufacturing, and Procurement
  • HCM: Time & Expense Master, Time Collection, Expense, Labor, Leave and Payroll
  • MAS: Accounts Payable, Billing & Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Projects, Time Collection, Labor, Leave and Payroll
Physical Requirements

Consistently requires sitting or standing for a majority of the day to complete essential job duties on the computer and telephone

Consistently requires auditory abilities to efficiently listen and effectively communicate with clients, vendors and staff to carry out essential job duties

Occasionally requires standing to scan, print and copy job related documents to carry out job duties

Occasional overnight travel by land and/or air may be necessary
