Clerk Chat is an in-office team based just three blocks south of the Embarcadero BART station, making it easy to commute and stay connected. We love being in the office five days a week because it fosters real-time collaboration, builds stronger relationships, and helps us move faster.

Who you are: You’re an ambitious and entrepreneurial sales professional who thrives in a high-velocity environment. Passionate about building meaningful relationships, you deliver value to customers through every step of the sales process. You’re eager to represent an innovative, customer-centric product and are excited to take ownership of your success while collaborating closely with a talented BDR team.


What you will do: 

  • Manage the full sales process from conducting demos to negotiating and closing deals.
  • Work closely with the BDR team to ensure a seamless handoff and maximize pipeline opportunities.
  • Identify and engage with SMB clients to drive sales and foster long-term relationships.
  • Represent the company with passion, sharing its vision and delivering value-driven solutions to prospects.
  • Handle a high-velocity sales process, managing multiple deals simultaneously while maintaining a results-oriented mindset.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the sales process and contribute to the company’s growth.
  • Participate in key industry events to generate business opportunities and expand your network.


What you will need:

  • 3-5 years of quota-carrying sales experience, ideally in a start-up saas environment, with a proven ability to manage the entire sales cycle from demos to close. 
  • Strong self-management and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to thrive in a high-velocity, fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for customer-centric solutions and building meaningful relationships.
  • Familiarity with customer procurement cycles, including security reviews, legal redlining, and executive pricing negotiations.


Nice to have:

  • Experience with telecom, communication, or messaging platforms.
  • Exposure to early-stage startups or high-growth companies, with a passion for driving results in these environments.

Salary Range: 

The pay range for this role is: $130,000 base and $230,000 OTE approximately


Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of our total compensation package that also includes benefits and other perks. We also include stock options in this compensation package and believe all employees should have the opportunity to become owners in the company. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
