About The Role

The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for driving significant sales growth by initiating, managing and expanding relationships with key companies implementing EVSE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the EV and EV Charging business, a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and the ability to work independently while developing and executing comprehensive account plans. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Segments for this role include but are not limited to enterprise companies, EVSE manufacturers, fleets, charge point operators, real estate organizations, charge point management systems, EV charging networks, and other potential clients. 
  • Sales Achievement: Exceed annual sales target of $3M through proactive sales strategies and effective account management.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and perform regular business update meetings (at least quarterly) with existing customers to identify new opportunities to grow together and document opportunities and their progress in CRM. 
  • Account Planning: Create and execute strategic account plans to drive customer engagement and growth. Mapping out how each account will play a part in your target achievement and identifying the activities you need to complete.
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct needs assessments, present tailored solutions, negotiate contracts, and close deals with a consultative approach.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and follow processes to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve company objectives. Introduce ideas and communicate information to internal stakeholders.
  • Performance Standards: Operate with team behaviors and expectations in mind. They  include:  Achieving revenue commitments, being industry experts, focusing on customer relationship management, responding to customers promptly, celebrating successes and learning from losses quickly.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of consultative sales experience, preferably  in the EV and EV Charging industry.
  • Proven sales record of managing and closing mid to large accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets of at least $2.5M annually.
  • Strong independent work ethic with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive account plans.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Strong business acumen

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Sales Expertise - deep understanding of sales processes, strategies and methodologies to consistently achieve and exceed targets. 
  • Effective Communication Skills - Adapts to target audience. Explains topics (technical data, subject matter expertise, etc.) in such a way that the audience can understand, retain, and use the information.
  • Integrate Customer Perspective - Incorporate an understanding of the customers' perspective on our products and sales efforts to develop sales content that improves our ability to meet their needs and increase revenue.
  • Customer focused - Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions.
  • Sales Forecasting:  You have proven experience to collect and assess customer data from internal and external sources; compare against historical data to determine useful inputs and create a forecast of future consumption patterns. Provide monthly sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
  • Value Proposition + Market Insights: You can effectively communicate the value proposition of products and services to potential clients.  You can apply keen business insight and knowledge of the marketplace to advance company goals and meet client needs.
  • Scrappy and resourceful attitude - adept at navigating ambiguity and working with new processes to develop innovative solutions and achieve goals.
  • Negotiation skills - strong negotiation abilities to close deals effectively and maximize profitability
  • Time management skills- efficiently managing time and prioritizing tasks to handle multiple accounts and projects simultaneously. Using calendar, CRM, software and other tools to be as efficient and effective as possible.

 

EDUCATION

  • Required: College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Business or a related subject. Technical, electrical knowledge helpful.

EXPERIENCE

  • Required: 5 years consultative sales experience
  • Preferred:  5 years or more EV or EV Charging industry experience

 

COMPENSATION

Base Salary $140,000.00 w/ variable compensation
