Description

Town Hall—a high-growth agency providing digital marketing services to nonprofit and higher education clients–seeks a Senior Account Director to manage key accounts, drive strategic planning, and build resilient partnerships with our clients. This role will report to the Managing Director.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Account Director will be the main point of contact for their assigned clients, foster collaboration between external and internal teams, and ensure projects and campaigns are executed successfully. The Senior Account Director is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction, client retention, and growth of services and revenue within their assigned accounts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working autonomously, exhibits excellent communication skills, and has experience in an external relationships role.

Our office is located in midtown Manhattan and the Senior Account Director is expected to be in-office three days per week (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday).

Sample Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, fostering long-term relationships by building trust and delivering great work.
    • Develop a deep understanding of the clients’ business goals and align agency services with their objectives.
    • Regularly communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide campaign updates, and offer strategic recommendations.
    • Ensure client satisfaction by anticipating their needs and addressing concerns promptly.
    • Lead client meetings and present strategic recommendations and campaign reporting.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects and campaigns, ensuring they meet client business goals.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with client expectations and agency capabilities.
    • Monitor project budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient use of resources.
    • Deliver accurate and timely revenue projections to agency leadership.
  • Strategic Consulting:
    • Provide clients with strategic marketing insights and data-driven recommendations to improve their overall marketing efforts.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and challenges to advise clients on best practices and innovative approaches.
    • Contribute to campaign analysis and insights and present reporting to clients and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in account management within a marketing agency.
  • Demonstrable experience managing, reporting on, and/or contributing to paid media campaigns.
  • Ability to work independently, delegate effectively, and manage deliverables from internal teammates.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategies, including paid media, content marketing, and the consumer lifecycle.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and succinctly to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills with the ability to juggle multiple clients and campaigns simultaneously.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, analytics tools, and/or AI programs.
  • Nice to have: experience related to the higher education and/or nonprofit industries.
