About the Role:
CrowdStrike is looking for a Security Engineer to join our growing Security Architecture and Engineering team within the Information Security department. Security Engineering is instrumental in helping secure CrowdStrike IT managed network, applications, and systems.
What You'll Do:

  • Work with team members to plan the deployment, configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware
  • Maintain scalable network security architectures, ensuring alignment with zero trust principles.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain security controls for network perimeter protection, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and cloud-based security solutions.
  • Implement and enhance zero trust security models, including identity and access management, network segmentation, and continuous monitoring.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, cloud engineering, and software development teams to integrate security best practices into network infrastructure and services.
  • Provide expertise in cloud security, especially within multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments, ensuring consistent zero trust enforcement.
  • Monitor and respond to network security incidents, ensuring timely containment and resolution of threats.
  • Stay current on the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously evolve the company's network security posture.
  • Mentor and support junior security engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous learning within the team.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of network security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Help with automation of manual processes
  • Document procedures
  • Assist with ad-hoc operational tasks as required
  • Contribute to the culture of information security across the organization


What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network security engineering roles, with a focus on enterprise-level solutions.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, or CCNP Security.
  • Proficiency in deploying and managing network security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and NAC solutions.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and securing multi-cloud/hybrid environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of security protocols such as SSL/TLS, IPsec, DNSSEC, and others.
  • Experience with identity and access management (IAM) solutions, MFA, and SSO integration in a zero trust architecture.
  • Strong understanding of security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS).
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) to improve security operations efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability build/maintain relationships
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively/collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and self-disciplined individual capable of planning and executing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
  • A great attitude and willingness to be part of an impressive team

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $95,000 - $155,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
