Job Description:

Mission Statement

Under the direction of the Vice President Sales Operations, Hitachi Energy Sales US, this role will manage and assist in governing the internal sales policies/processes, sales tool support, best practices, and special assignments across the United States. Focus will be on developing, documenting, and delivering mission-critical sales processes working with external facing sales professionals to achieve targets, support sales data needs, and reinforce proper Sales tool use for new sales hires and the existing sales force.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Partner with US sales leaders to define, implement, and manage key sales processes, operational excellence methodology, sales tools, reporting, and process documentation management.
  • Train and support new sales hires and existing sales force on processes to foster collaboration and enable efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with Regional US Sales Vice Presidents to develop and distribute best practices as they relate to sales strategies and processes.
  • Administer, support, and document strategic projects assigned by the VP of US Sales Operations and/or SVP of US Sales.
  • Ensure sales pursuits are following a consistent outcome-based sales process.
  • Set standards, track hygiene, and provide insights relative to account planning, pipeline management, and opportunity forecasting.
  • Align with the regional commercial operations manager to ensure smooth rollout of initiatives and systems.
  • Drive sales planning and sales process execution consistency, including a cadence of quarterly performance reviews.
  • Leverage deliverables of global team to reduce duplication/increase capacity in the region.
  • Ensure a foundation of reliable data and simplified processes.

Required:  Knowledge, Skills Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration or technical field / advanced degree desirable; Equitable experience in lieu of degree will be considered. 
  • Minimum 5 years in related experience in Sales Processes and Best Practices required.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills with ability to collaborate as part of a team both virtually and in-person.
  • Possess strong business process and policy development and documentation skills.
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com, MS Word, Excel, PPT
