The Sales Director will manage annual sales budgets, drive customer relations, acquire new customers, and oversee sales processes for the Subscription Broadcasting industry.
This role is responsible for the turnover as agreed in the annual sales budget i.e. budget plan as well as the scoring the budgeted design-wins/NPI projects and delivering these NPI’s to market. The Sales Director is representing Universal Electronics to the Subscription Broadcasting industry and must manage the relation between Universal Electronics and their customers. The Sales Director is responsible for retaining current customer relations as well as for acquiring new customers within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Defining the specific sales and marketing, i.e. business planning on how to grow the sales and market position in the assigned territory
- Managing the strategic selling process for tier one and tier two operators within the territory
- Managing the strategic selling process for STB OEMs and distribution partners within the territory
- Selling new product or technology concepts (tier one or two customers) as well as off-the-shelf platform products (tier three customers) to operators and/or set-top-box vendors within the territory
- Managing the operators’ current product portfolio to deliver in accordance with customers expectations (both operator and set-top-box vendors)
- Responsible for acquiring new customers
- Maintaining customer relations
- Back-office related tasks and responsibilities, including managing customer forecasts, securing purchase orders, addressing any outstanding customer payment issues, as well as any other assigned tasks
Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of sales experience in similar B-to-B market or Sales Management in comparable positions
- Technical understanding and/or affinity of Electronics/Telecommunication
- Proven track record of mastering the integrated / strategic sales process
