The Sales Director Consultant, Real-World Data Analytics (RWDA), is a sales position working with Life Sciences partners. The Sales Director Consultant is responsible for achieving sales goals by consulting with commercial clients such as insights, marketing, market access and sales teams within Life Sciences to help them solve business problems with McKesson Compile’s data & RWDA services. This individual will be expected to provide a consultative approach to articulating McKesson Compile’s value proposition to our life science partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Grow sales of McKesson Compile Real World Data Analytic services to life science partners through an account-based, consultative sales approach.

  • Develop and execute on account plans and strategy for engaging accounts across the product lifecycle, ensuring robust pipeline
  • Support McKesson Compile’s strategic approach to long term partnerships with biopharma customers through sales pull through of data offerings to advance strategic goals and priorities.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise on McKesson Compile’s portfolio of offerings to advance insights & analytics priorities of our biopharma partners
  • Work collaboratively with teams from across the McKesson Compile teams to drive new sales opportunities, share leads, and inform new products.
     

Minimum Requirements:
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of experience selling healthcare data and/or analytics products and services.
Critical Requirements:

 

  • 7+ years Business Development experience
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and grow relationships with existing accounts in the Pharma/Life Sciences industry
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and close solutions-type deals
  • Highly skilled at identifying appropriate executive targets and key decision makers and building relationships across the enterprise within Pharma/Life Sciences accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to aggressively prospect new opportunities to address Pharma/Life Sciences commercialization and business development business needs
  • Develop strategic account plans by leveraging in-depth knowledge of the customer’s pipeline and business operations to identify and close opportunities
  • Use market expertise to foster long-term relationships
  • Manage the entire sales process –from lead to qualified opportunity to proposal to selection
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Customer-centricity and ‘outside-in’ approach to commercial problems
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills

Additional Knowledge / Skills:
 

  • Real-world Data/Evidence (RWD/RWE) experience preferred
  • Comfortable discussing data and research concepts with Biopharma customers stakeholders
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with a CRM system
  • Ability to create presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint

Strong proficiency with applications including, but not limited to, HubSpot, Microsoft Excel and Word

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.  In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered. Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:

$169,100 - $281,900

Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
