Job Description

Are you looking to break into Ed-Tech Sales? This is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing Sales team! Work with our Director of Sales and the Renaissance Marketing Team to secure meetings with inbound leads while uncovering new partnership opportunities through outbound prospecting for our Sales team to convert to paying customers.

You will be working with educators to demonstrate the value of our adaptive learning solutions by setting meetings with school and district decision makers. As a Sales Development Representative, you will learn the fundamentals of how to sell, pursue leads and prospect for new opportunities. 

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will generate new business opportunities by following proven processes to prospect into public K12 Schools and Districts. You’ll learn how to identify, understand and research lists of schools and districts to target, and how to develop campaigns to generate new business opportunities, while collaborating within a team. The successful candidate will be a strongly self-motivated and committed individual who is goal-oriented, logical and tenacious, and can effectively interact with a team. This position has advancement potential within the Sales organization - your ideas and innovation will help build a sales minded organization!

In this role, you will: 

  • Master the suite of Renaissance products and their sales process. 

  • Prospect across all products and titles with outbound cold-calling and pre-qualifying incoming leads 

  • Dive into how schools run, how they attain their goals and how they allocate funding. 

  • Identify your lead's classroom challenges and communicate Renaissance’s value proposition to resolve them. 

Qualifications

For this role, you must have:

  • A passion for a Sales career in education and willingness to be mentored.
  • Strong organization skills, an understanding of how to optimally manage time, and are driven to ensure work is completed and goals are met.
  • Effective interpersonal skills on the phone and video chat - can think on your feet and adapt to new technology.
  • Anticipate risk and failure to learn, not defeat.
  • Are outstandingly upbeat and love engaging with potential customers.
  • Excited to execute innovative, targeted campaigns that get decision makers interested in bringing transformative technology to classrooms.

Bonus Points

  • Lead Development or Sales Development experience great to have, but not necessary!

Education and Experience

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Travel expectations: 5-10% travel

Additional Information

Salary Range: $40,000-$52,000 This does not include variable compensation.
