Artera is looking for a driven and ambitious Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help grow our sales pipeline by identifying and engaging key decision-makers at leading healthcare organizations. You’ll be on the front lines of our sales team, using strategic outreach—calls, emails, and LinkedIn—to connect potential customers with Artera’s solutions.

If you're a go-getter who loves a challenge, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build a strong foundation in sales, tech, and business, this role is for you. With a clear path for growth, hands-on training, and a supportive, high-energy team, this is an opportunity to kickstart your career and develop the skills that can take you anywhere.

This is a fully in-office role, putting you right in the heart of the action on our lively Downtown Santa Barbara sales floor, five days a week!

Responsibilities

  • Drive outbound prospecting—cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn—to spark conversations with potential customers.
  • Identify and qualify leads to build strong business opportunities.
  • Research and strategize before outreach to improve engagement and connect with the right decision-makers.
  • Keep the momentum going by managing leads in Salesforce and following up strategically.
  • Collaborate with AEs, sales leadership, and peers to refine outreach strategies and continuously improve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or previous sales experience (internships, retail, or customer-facing roles count!)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage prospects effectively.
  • Passion for startups, sales, and technology with a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Highly motivated with a drive for personal and professional development in sales.
  • Curious and eager to learn, always seeking to improve.
  • Team player with a positive attitude who thrives on challenges.

Bonus

  • Experience in Healthcare.
  • Background in sales, especially in a high-volume outbound role.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools.
  • Cold calling experience.

LOCATION

Artera values in-person collaboration and is currently hiring in the following US cities: Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, Kansas City, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Boston, and Philadelphia (Wayne).

Artera HQ is in Santa Barbara, CA, with an additional US office located in Philadelphia (Wayne), PA. If you live in the Santa Barbara or Philadelphia area, your role will be hybrid, and you will be expected to work out of your designated office location regularly, following local office guidelines. While three days a week may be a general guideline, the specific requirement will be set regionally based on the needs of the local office and the role.

If you live in one of our other hubs, your role will be remote to start. As our team continues to grow in these cities, Artera will explore opening offices in these locations, but there is currently no timeline in place for that. Once that happens, in-office attendance will similarly follow regional expectations, with flexibility to align with the local office's norms and the specific job requirements.
