Shift5 is seeking a Recruiter to join our Talent team and play a key part in the continued growth of our company. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to lead a full-cycle recruiting process for for various roles across the key pillars of our company - Product Development, Value Engineering, G&A, and GTM. We're positioning for hyper-growth and this is a key role to help us achieve key milestones and to push Shift5 forward. 

This is a remote position, however we are focused on candidates who are based in LA, Seattle, or DC markets. You will be expected to travel to HQ, or to visit high priority candidates when needed. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with hiring managers to define position requirements and ideal candidate profiles, especially for roles demanding high-level security clearances.
  • Source candidates through a variety of channels, including direct outreach, social media, job boards, professional networks, aerospace & defense tech events, and employee referrals.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews to assess technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Manage the interview process, scheduling & coordinating between candidates and hiring teams, to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for all parties.
  • Foster strong relationships with potential candidates and build a pipeline of talented engineers for current and future needs.
  • Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to remain competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Proficient in the use of applicant tracking systems (ATS), specifically Greenhouse amongst others. 
  • Strong understanding of the complete recruiting lifecycle and best practices.
  • Ability to efficiently multitask and accommodate change of priorities on demand.
  • Ability to obtain an active US Government TS clearance.

Preferred:

  • At least 1-5 years of recruiting experience within a high growth tech startup.
  • Active network within the cybersecurity, defense and general hardware / software industries.
  • Knowledge of employment law as it relates to hiring.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $80,000-120,000
