Quality Assurance Analysts are responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our immersive experiences by implementing test plans, executing test cases and scripts, and tracking/documenting software and product features and flaws.
What You'll Do
- Perform build verification testing; regression testing; and general testing for quality & performance.
- Work directly with the development teams.
- Assist in the refinement and improvements of test procedures and test plans.
- Provide assistance to Designers and Engineers, regarding game-play and game-balance analysis.
- Identify and report defects and deficiencies to maintain a high quality level with our products.
- Test and verify quality of software and internal tools.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years experience as a QA Analyst / Game Tester in the game industry or related field
- Ability to follow rigorous quality assurance processes.
- Thorough understanding of the importance of QA and testing.
- Ability to evaluate and develop complicated processes and suggest improvements effectively.
- Strong knowledge of JIRA or equivalent bug/issue tracking software tools.
- Industry experience in production, QA, or software development.
- PC, Console (PlayStation, XBOX, etc.) game testing experience.
- Past experience testing mobile games (iOS/Anroid, etc.)
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision while still maintaining productivity.
- Clear and effective oral and written communication skills.
- Bonus points for:
- Experience testing mobile hardware devices, VR, and/or network connectivity.
- Previous experience with Unreal Engine.
The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $59,900 to $80,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
