About The Role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for shepherding Planted Solar projects from contract execution to construction commencement. You will work closely with our customers and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.  This role is the main point of contact with customers and other key external stakeholders. You will identify project goals, confirm project details and design criteria, and help guide the site design of Planted projects.  

As  Project Manager you will manage the project through the internal engineering and design stages, own the project schedule, update the CRM and project management tools, and ensure the required customer information is translated correctly into all deliverables.  Throughout the process, the Project Manager will own the customer relationship, staying in close communication and ensuring successful outcomes in order to achieve customer satisfaction, and identify opportunities for repeat business. 

This role will own critical pieces of our project development process, you are encouraged to refine, update,  and improve the process.  Successful candidates will be detail oriented, curious and analytical, with strong communication skills and a desire to be a part of a growing, early-stage company. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a talented and cross-functional engineering and business team with a high degree of empowerment and autonomy.

The salary range for this full-time position is $90,000-$140,000 plus stock options and benefits. Pay within the range is based on candidate experience, job-specific skills, education, and work location. The target experience for the position is 3 - 5+ years

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met
  • Manage and own the customer and task tracking in Planted CRM and project management tools
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with customers, third parties, and internal Planted teams
  • Communicate project status, issues, and successes to Customers and management
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Foster collaboration and engagement among team members
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement
  • Build and own relationships with customers and partners, identifying opportunities for repeat business and expanded business opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The successful candidate will be able to think critically and creatively, working to solve problems amongst the big picture
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 3+ years experience in a solar project management role or similar, overseeing all aspects of project execution efforts 
  • Strong organization and project management skills and a strong ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship management skills
  • Financial modeling understanding using Microsoft Excel, python or other modeling programs
  • Hands-on ownership mentality, curiosity, and resourcefulness
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, reduce reasonable risks, and make good decisions with imperfect knowledge
  • Nice to have: PMP certificate.
