Job description

The Project Manager will oversee and manage large infrastructure projects in the US. This role involves coordinating with teams, meeting project timelines ,and maintaining quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in utility locating technologies, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.  

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage projects related to utility locating technology, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management. 
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand project requirements and expectations. 
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure successful project completion. 
  • Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, identify issues, and implement solutions. 
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements throughout the project. 
  • Monitor project performance metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders. 
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project timelines or outcomes. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize project processes. 
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. 
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. 



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field. 
  • 6-12 years experience managing projects in the utility locating or related industry. 
  • Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external partners, including clients, construction companies, engineering companies, etc. 
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure design and/or construction with an understanding of subsurface utility engineering. 
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading project teams to successful outcomes. 
  • Proficiency in project management with proven ability to complete projects on time, within budget, and with quality deliverables. 
  • Ability to work remotely and travel to project sites and client meetings. Anticipate updated to 25% travel. 
  • Knowledge of quality control, safety protocols, and best practices in the utility locating field. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with proven leadership progress on design and/or construction infrastructure projects of more than $500 million USD.
  • Experience with managing a project delivery team
  • Experience with project scheduling software such as MS Project (or similar)

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000
