Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager to be based in Oakland, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
  • Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
  • Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
  • Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or other Engineering discipline + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain California PE within twelve months if not currently registered in California.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to proactively communicate and lead department staff.
  • 12+ years of experience which reflects a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility.
  • Experience with business development and client relations.
  • Project management experience leading small to medium-sized highway projects; well-versed in all aspects of project development.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
