We are seeking a highly strategic and analytical leader to join our team as Director, Product Strategist. This role operates at an “Office of the CEO” altitude, partnering closely with executive leadership, product teams, and market intelligence leaders to analyze market dynamics, anticipate industry shifts, and shape the strategic positioning of our platform.

This individual will serve as a strategic operator and advisor, leveraging analyst relationships, market research, competitive intelligence, and financial modeling to help leadership teams identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and position Automation Anywhere for continued market leadership.

Who you’ll report to:

This role reports to the VP, Analyst Relations

Location: 

Hybrid role with regular onsite workdays from our San Jose, CA office preferred. Other locations in Pacific Time Zone may also be considered.

You will make an impact by being responsible for:

  • Defining the company’s annual strategy for leveraging the global analyst community, aligning insights from firms such as Gartner, Forrester, and IDC to support corporate objectives, product positioning, and market leadership
  • Conducting deep analysis of the industry landscape, including market trends, competitive dynamics, TAM modeling, and market share forecasting to inform strategic decision-making
  • Operating as a CEO-level strategic advisor, proactively identifying emerging market opportunities or threats, developing response strategies, and executing initiatives that drive growth
  • Leading C-suite strategic initiatives across the organization, framing complex business questions, structuring analytical approaches, developing hypotheses, conducting research, and delivering actionable executive recommendations
  • Partnering closely with product leadership and platform teams to synthesize market intelligence, analyst insights, and customer feedback that influence product roadmap decisions and innovation priorities
  • Driving cross-functional strategic programs, coordinating teams across product, marketing, sales, and strategy to deliver high-impact outcomes
  • Managing complex, high-visibility initiatives including industry analyst engagements, RFI/RFP cycles, and market evaluation processes
  • Translating large volumes of data, research, and analyst feedback into clear executive narratives and strategic insights that inform leadership decisions
  • Supporting sales enablement and high-stakes deal cycles by leveraging analyst insights and third-party validation to strengthen competitive positioning and accelerate sales velocity
  • Building competitive intelligence frameworks that identify emerging threats and strategic whitespace opportunities in the evolving automation and AI market

You will be a great fit if you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in business, strategy, or a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in product strategy, corporate strategy, corporate development, market intelligence, financial planning, consulting, or product management within enterprise software or technology companies
  • Strong experience analyzing market opportunities and developing strategic plans that influence executive decision-making
  • Proven ability to interpret industry analyst reports, market research, and competitive intelligence to drive product and business strategy
  • Experience working closely with C-suite executives and senior leadership, influencing strategic initiatives and cross-functional decision-making
  • Deep analytical expertise including market modeling, TAM analysis, competitive positioning, and scenario planning
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Experience collaborating with product leadership teams to influence platform roadmap and innovation strategy
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex insights into compelling executive presentations
  • Experience supporting analyst relations initiatives, market evaluations, or enterprise deal cycles is strongly preferred

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 – 225,000 a year. The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.
