About the role:
We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our Product Team. In this newly created position, the Product Marketing Manager will report to our Director of Product Marketing and be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote Residents product, defining its positioning and messaging, and ensuring its value proposition is clearly communicated to the target market, working closely with both the product development team, creative team and sales team to drive demand and adoption.
What you'll be doing:
- Ownership of how products get on our website and various sales channels.
- Ownership of Resident Product Catalog; Driving feature strategy in collaboration with our Admin Product team to improve day to day management of SKUs.
- Ownership of on site merchandising strategy by using data to determine:
- Product placements, Clearance/Sales, Upsells and Cross Promoted Products.
- Identify and implement improvements to CRM/Owned Marketing as relates to merchandising and product marketing to drive incremental revenue.
- Using Data to inform which products appear where in the customers lifecycle.
- Collaborating closely with Growth / Marketing to determine strategy of selling products off site to drive sales to owned channels.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 3+ years of experience working in product marketing, preferably with a DTC brand
- Relevant Degree
- Experience working with Consumer-Packaged Goods
- Project management experience, managing workflows in Asana or similar tools.
- Working cross functionally in an organization.
- A creative problem solver with strong attention to detail.
- Passionate, energetic and a proven track record.
- Strong communicator who can articulate the needs of your audience in a clear, compelling way
- Resourceful and flexible team player with exceptional collaboration skills
- Experience working for a sophisticated ecommerce company (e-commerce/online travel/finance/software) preferred - fast growth, results driven, data driven company
- Ability to apply sound, independent judgment and discretion on matters of substantial importance to the company in performing duties, resolving complex problems, and interpreting policies and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Significant product marketing and development experience
- Deep understanding of market trends and product lifecycles
- Firm grasp of ways to develop strategic product marketing campaigns
Preferred qualifications:
- Extensive experience managing cross functional projects and digital first campaigns.
- Familiarity with project management tools and how to optimize processes
- Experience crafting strong product marketing stories across various channels.
- Experience within digital product management teams or processes.
- Working directly with Product Managers and Engineers to implement your ideas.
