Product Marketing Leader, Commercial Airlines (IC)

Company:

The Boeing Company

Imagine applying your product marketing skills to an industry that affects everyone you know. At Jeppesen, a Boeing Company, our vision is flawless flight, and our mission is to improve safety and sustainability of commercial, business, and military aviation. Our software is at the heart of navigation, operations, and maintenance. Your last airline flight was almost certainly planned, dispatched, or navigated using our software—regardless of who made the airplane.

We are seeking an experienced product marketer who will illuminate our commercial airline solutions to a skeptical customer base. This is our first hire who instead of focusing on only one of our product portfolios like Navigation, Crew Management, or Flight Operations, will tell a cross-portfolio story for commercial airlines. This includes mission-critical subjects like fuel efficiency, crew satisfaction, and recovering from disruption. You would tell our complete story and help improve the safety and sustainability of hundreds of airlines! The ideal candidate has a track record of success in enterprise software product marketing and is an engaging communicator. Further, the ideal candidate has a record of successful collaboration with product management and growth marketing to drive ACV growth. We are looking for Product Marketing Leader, Commercial Airlines (IC) who can work fully Virtual in the US. There is a preference for Englewood CO or Austin TX, but this is not required.

Position responsibilities:

  • Positioning and messaging: Monitor the competitive landscape and craft compelling and differentiated messaging for cross-portfolio solutions.
  • Asset creation: produce engaging written and video content that illustrates how our solutions improve safety and sustainability for commercial airlines. You should be comfortable producing a thousand words a month of written assets, and several 5-10 minute videos each year by yourself, through content marketing, or an agency. Also take ownership of a company-wide pitch deck, introducing new airlines to our entire portfolio.
  • Demand Generation: Partner with our Growth Marketing team to plan and execute programs to generate leads, including the development of marketing campaigns, content, and digital strategies.
  • Sales Enablement: Provide sales with the tools and resources needed to effectively sell our products, especially pitch decks and concise competitive responses.
  • Solution strategy: Collaborate with product managers and our services team to define and shape new offers that combine software, services, and data.

Basic qualifications:

  • Experience as a product marketer or product manager for a B2B software company.
  • Has a portfolio of published product marketing assets for B2B software, such as blogs, videos, pitch decks, guides, brochures, or similar items.
  • Experience presenting and demonstrating B2B software products at customer events such as conferences, webinars, and trade shows.
  • Experience collaborating with teams to produce positioning statements, messaging, and competitive responses for B2B software.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Top-flight communication skills that demonstrate conciseness, creativity, and credibility.
  • Significant product marketing experience pitching complex enterprise software to skeptical audiences. Prior experience with ERP, workflow, or analytics is ideal.
  • Uncanny ability to pull together multiple products into a cohesive and engaging story, often from different sources and teams. Ability to leave ego behind and encourage other colleagues in this endeavor.
  • Passion for improving airline safety and sustainability.
  • Preferred work location for Englewood Co or Austin TX but this is not required.

Drug Free Workplace:

Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.

Pay & Benefits:

At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.  Elements of the Total Rewards package include competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities.

The Boeing Company also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
