What We're Looking For

Stytch is the most powerful identity platform built for developers – bringing together authentication, authorization, and fraud into purpose-built APIs that provide the foundations that allow developers to scale rapidly.

This role will be owning Stych’s core product offering: our APIs and SDKs that engineers use to power end user authentication, authorization and organization management in their applications. As the PM for this product, you’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities to deepen the value Stytch provides to our customers through our auth product suite: whether that’s through improving the developer ergonomics of interacting with our SDKs, finding opportunities to strengthen our security posture, and improving the end user experience that we are powering.

The ideal candidate for this role finds the challenge of defining creative and elegant solutions within a high-risk and heavily constrained space exciting, and is equally comfortable whiteboarding thorny technical decisions with engineering as you are running customer discovery or helping workshop the right story for a marketing launch.

This is a hybrid, full-time position based in the SF Bay Area. We aren’t looking for someone to be in-office 5 days per week, but are looking for someone who is excited to collaborate in-person on a weekly basis (2-3 days per week in-office).

What Excites You

  • Company level impact and agency, you’ll be owning our core product suite!

  • Thinking through product requirements from the perspective of a wide range of personas: from the engineer integrating Stytch, to the product goals they are trying to accomplish, to the end users logging into our customers’ applications

  • A product culture with an emphasis on critical reasoning and informed intuition

What Excites Us

  • Experience as a software engineer, and/or proven track record working as a PM on a highly technical product

  • Excitement or experience working on identity and security

  • Prior experience at an early/mid stage B2B startup

  • Comfort with ambiguity

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication of technical concepts for a range of audiences

  • Strong root-cause and systems thinking

What Success Looks Like

  • Technical — design and drive execution on products that keep customers and end users safe, and ensure that customers feel confident trusting Stytch with their front door

  • Ownership — advocate for projects and solutions that you believe will help customers and drive Stytch’s business forward and bring them to market

  • Leadership — level up your teammates by providing mentorship and guidance

Expected base salary $150,000 - $210,000. The anticipated base salary range is not inclusive of full benefits including equity, health care insurance, time off, paid parental leave, etc. This base salary is accurate based on information at the time of posting. Actual compensation for hired candidates will be determined using a number of factors including experience, skills, and qualifications.

We're looking to hire a GREAT team and that means hiring people who are highly empathetic, ambitious, and excited about building the future of user authentication. You should feel empowered to apply for this role even if your experience doesn't exactly match up to our job description (our job descriptions are directional and not perfect recipes for exactly what we need).

We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workspace where everyone (regardless of age, education, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or any personal characteristics) feels like they belong. We look forward to hearing from you!
