What You're Applying For:
Edmunds.com is looking for a self-driven Product Manager to join our Appraisals Business Unit which is responsible for creating, launching and growing new Vehicle Appraisal products for consumers and dealers. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on product experience conceptualizing, building and growing B2C and/or B2B software products, and have the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where change is both expected and welcomed.
As a Product Manager, you will:

  • Be a primary subject matter expert for your products
    • Gain a deep functional and technical understanding of Edmunds Dealer Appraisal product suite
    • Understand the key business metrics that contribute to the success of your product and the factors that drive them
    • Conduct interviews and research to gain deep empathy for your customers
    • Represent your products not only to external customers (dealer partners) but also to internal stakeholders such as our executive team, sales team, account management team, customer care, etc.
  • Iteratively launch new features to our customers
    • Support product development efforts within an agile development environment to define, build and launch consumer facing features for our Dealer Appraisal products. This includes gathering requirements, writing user stories, accepting completed features, and supporting rollout to production.
    • Assess product enhancement requests from stakeholders to prioritize them, and determine how to best introduce them to the product
    • Articulate business and customer value to development and design teams and use it to guide prioritization
    • Partner with our UX & design team to design delightful customer experiences
    • Construct, launch, and evaluate well-defined A/B tests to make continual product improvements.
  • Support our existing trade-in tool products
    • Act as a first point of contact for Edmunds Dealer Appraisal products for escalations and feedback from sales, operations and dealers
    • Troubleshoot issues to identify a path to timely resolution, while considering long term solutions that will improve the resilience of the product and our ability to serve our customers
    • Manage open line of communication between the dealer operations team and sales team on reported issues or product enhancements optimizations


What You Need:

  • 2+ years product management experience with software/web development projects, including:
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams of 5-15 people using Agile scrum and Kanban software development methodologies
    • Experience prioritizing, writing, and testing user stories
  • Working knowledge of Google Apps (docs, sheets, slides), Atlassian JIRA, and Slack
  • Strong analytics skills and exposure to product analytics tools such as Tableau, Amplitude, or Google Analytics, or similar. SQL skills are a plus.
  • Strong presentation, communication, coordination, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while using your resourcefulness and experience to ask for help from the right people when you need it
  • Ability to navigate and adapt quickly to ambiguity and change
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus.


The compensation range for this position is $111,000-$141,000 per year. The base pay will take into account internal equity as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
