As we lean into our mission to “simplify the business of running a business”, WEX is looking to simplify and reimagine experiences, starting from the customer perspective. We are looking for a Product Manager III to own the execution and delivery of new and/or enhanced products, services and processes associated with our Benefit Administration line of business. In this role, you will help deliver market leading customer experiences, assisting and supporting the Product Management team in the execution of their strategic roadmap. Your focus will be to understand the needs of our benefit administration clients, as well as key stakeholders within the business, and develop and execute product strategies that enhance customer value and grow WEX’s leadership position in the marketplace. 

Location:
Remote, with a requirement to reside within 30 miles of one of the following locations: Portland, ME; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Washington, DC; Dallas, TX; or San Jose, CA.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap for the client and service experience, working closely with the Senior Product Manager to define and deliver a seamless and valuable client journey.

  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs and pain points related to benefit administration services and platform functionality. You'll be a champion for our clients and service teams, ensuring their perspective is considered in all product decisions.

  • Gather and synthesize user feedback, analyze data, and conduct competitive research to identify opportunities to improve the client and service experience. 

  • Work closely with 1-2 engineering teams to execute on the product roadmap, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of new features and enhancements. This includes writing user stories, participating in sprint activities (planning, daily stand-ups, reviews), and representing new enhancements during internal Stakeholder Sprint Review meetings.

  • Work closely with the product team to mitigate key risks associated with value, usability, feasibility and viability, ensuring the team is delivering solutions that solve customer problems in a way that works for the organization.  

  • Work closely with the Senior Product Manager to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product initiatives. 

  • Be a trusted partner to cross-functional business stakeholders, understanding their needs, soliciting their feedback and ensuring a successful rollout and adoption of new features. 

  • Assist the Senior Product Manager and Product Marketing in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for new features and enhancements. You'll contribute to creating engaging content, training materials, and communication plans.

  • Relevant Expertise: Brings a deep understanding of the market, applied technologies and domain expertise, with a curiosity and learning mindset

Experience you’ll bring: 

  • 5 to 10 years of Product Management experience delivering world class software or capabilities 

  • Undergraduate degree preferred

  • Experience with HR Benefits technology a plus.

  • Proven ability to work closely with engineering teams and other product teams to prioritize and deliver features within an agile framework, including familiarity with Scrum methodologies, and a strong understanding of Agile ceremonies and artifacts

  • Track record of successfully launching and iterating on products

  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and extract actionable insights to inform product strategy and measure product performance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to use data to identify root causes, develop recommendations, and make informed product decisions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to inspire teams around a vision and influence key stakeholders 

  • Curious and a learning mindset

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
