ABOUT BIOACTIVES

Bioactives are compounds found in plants, fungi, and bacteria that benefit human health.  They are an important part of a nutrient dense diet, and their health impact often goes beyond basic nutrition into disease prevention. Some bioactives are only accessible through complex interactions within the gut microbiome. Science has long known that bioactives are critical to human health, yet the vast majority remain unknown and are often referred to as the “dark matter” of nutrition. We built Forager to uncover them.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

Set vision and GTM strategy for Forager’s AI SaaS platform

• Design Forager’s platform for customers to access insights directly.  You will set the overall GTM strategy across product offerings and industries to service. 
• Partner with Senior Leadership to design the fundamentals behind Forager’s SaaS business model, including its subscription service, data usage and design.
• Work with sales and marketing teams to drive market adoption, retention, and expansion strategies.

Own Forager’s P&L for the SaaS platform and manage modular products through lifecycle

• Design a modular product offering on platform, including overseeing end to end development, product build, pricing, and launch. 
• Ensure product performance by guiding a focused team of Product Managers: determine success metrics, manage product improvements, stay informed of competitors, and unlock sales enablement.

Obsessively service customer needs across life sciences

• Seek constant customer input to distill customer needs into insightful product solutions.
• Design the roadmap with features that address feedback from customers, sales and tech teams. 
• Move with the speed of fast-paced tech, leaning into MVPs to validate wherever needed.

Maintain our cutting-edge AI advantage

• Drive innovation ensuring technical feasibility and alignment while delivering a “wow” experience for our customers. 
• Ensure Forager’s AI solutions adhere to regulatory and compliance standards, while maintaining industry-leading data privacy and security protocols.
• Work closely with engineering, operations, design, marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure smooth execution of product initiatives.

THE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED

• Experience leading and supporting successful commercial launches of SaaS or platform technology related products is a must. 
• Deep familiarity with the life sciences industry or sub-industries.
• Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, data science principles, and AI technologies 
• A bachelors degree with 15+ years of experience, technical field is a nice to have.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership to provide cohesive direction towards company goals with accountability for financial results which impact company performance. 
• Seasoned leader who is highly collaborative and able to build strong working relationships and alignment across multiple cross-functional teams to support successful Product initiatives.
• Self-starting, entrepreneurial orientation and a contributor to company culture are a must.
• Technical proficiency with Product/SaaS tools such as Jira, Confluence, Open DevOps.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at time.

COMPENSATION

• This role is positioned between a Senior Director and Senior Vice President.
• The potential base salary range for this position, when annualized, is $225,000 - $300,000. 
• Compensation for this position is commensurate with relevant qualifications and work experience, academic credentials, job related skills, employment location and other factors.
