Company Overview:

Eve Legal is on a mission to revolutionize the legal tech industry by providing innovative AI-driven solutions that empower plaintiff attorneys to succeed. Our values of Excellence, Visionary Innovation, and Elevation guide everything we do—from how we work as a team to how we serve our clients and their clients.

Why Join Eve Legal:

Our product designers play a critical role in defining product strategy and vision—they do not simply hand off designs, but instead partner closely with engineering and stakeholders to own entire product areas. We do not have a traditional product management layer at Eve. Instead, each product area is led by a product design lead and a product engineering lead, who share responsibilities for setting the roadmap, understanding user needs, defining requirements, and ensuring successful delivery.

What You Will Accomplish as a Product Designer:

  • Develop Core Software: Build and ship high-quality product designs, from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, that solve user problems and create delightful experiences.
  • Drive Product Direction: Collaborate with your engineering partner and cross-functional teams to define and refine your product area’s roadmap, balancing user needs with technical feasibility.
  • Full-Stack Design Execution: Lead the entire design process, ensuring the seamless integration of designs and high-impact user flows. Craft product specs and requirement documents.
  • Customer Understanding: Lead user research initiatives to deeply understand the challenges of law firms, paralegals, intake specialists, and other users, synthesizing insights into actionable product plans.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, QA, leadership, and other teams to ensure the successful implementation of designs, continuously iterating based on feedback.
  • Solution Brainstorming: Partner with product engineering, customer success, and stakeholders to brainstorm creative product solutions that align with the broader vision of the product.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience in product design (preferably in tech-forward startups or fast-paced enterprise/consumer environments).
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end product design, from concept to delivery, including ownership of product specs, requirements, and roadmap decisions.
  • Experience designing prosumer/self-service enterprise products (e.g., Airtable, Notion, Figma), with the ability to balance enterprise-grade power with intuitive usability.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing design decisions, user-centric thinking, and the measurable impact of your work.
  • Experience conducting or partnering on user research to inform and guide design decisions.

You Will Thrive In This Role If You Have:

  • Founding Product Designer Experience: Especially valuable if you’ve owned broad product surfaces in early-stage startup environments, demonstrating versatility and initiative.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-driven products and an understanding of how to create seamless, effective user flows for AI-powered features.
  • Customer-Obsession: Always curious about users, constantly seeking feedback, and driven to solve real-world problems in impactful ways.
  • Strategic Communication: Comfortable presenting and defending design decisions with data and user insights, while being open to feedback.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, take initiative, and drive product development forward with minimal supervision.
  • Team Work: Collaborative, enjoys working closely with engineering, leadership, and other teams, and contributes to a culture of continuous improvement.

Benefits:

  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Unlimited PTO for work-life balance
  • An inclusive, collaborative, and innovation-driven work environment

Compensation:

  • Compensation at Eve is highly competitive and determined based on experience, seniority, and considerations of both internal and external equity, as well as location.
  • In addition to a compelling salary and performance-based bonuses, we offer an equity component that provides meaningful ownership and the opportunity to share in the company's long-term success.

Hybrid Work Policy:

We meet in our San Mateo office from Monday to Wednesday, working remotely the remainder of the week.
