Card79 is a boutique product design and innovation agency. Our product design capabilities bridge between digital and physical product design. This position is for an individual suited to engage in digital product design, with a heavy focus on hands on User Experience design.

Our integrated approach allows us to tackle a range of complex projects that cover both digital and physical design territories. The Role:

As a Digital Product designer, you will be deeply involved in the digital design work that the studio carries out. This role demands a tactical and strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a knack for visualizing the future of digital interactions. An appreciation for our cross-disciplinary capabilities will be essential as you collaborate across teams to create cohesive user experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute on UX best practices: from researching nascent technologies to rethinking legacy products, from concept design through to shipping.
  • Design engaging experiences for people that also balance technical requirements and business drivers. 
  • Have a ‘build to think’ approach to design that prioritizes prototyping as a way to help steer a project and quickly learn from users.
  •  Engage with clients and stakeholders to present concepts and secure buy-in.
  • Identify future UX trends and keep the team abreast of new ways of working that contribute to keeping the work relevant.
  • Have some visual design experience to interface with brand and visual designers.

Requirements:

  • Have a solid understanding of the whole Digital product pipeline, from research to shipping.
  • Comfortable interviewing and researching needs and requirements through contextual research and user interviews.
  • Between 5-7 years in agencies or in-house.
  • The ability to engage in strategic and design thinking exercises, thinking more abstractly about the needs and features of a product or service.
  • Proficiency in Figma and any other prototyping tools that help refine digital products.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction  Design, Digital Media design,  or a related field.
