What You Will Be Doing

The ideal candidate is a “hands on” senior technologist that has experience across the entire cloud, embedded, mobile app technology stack. The candidate has experience conceptualizing, building, and launching products that have gained significant revenue traction with large WW deployments. Experience building multi-cloud platform architectures supporting a broad range of Day 0 – Day N use cases to manage EV charging or network, security infrastructure is desired. Experience dealing with large scale customer deployments with a worldwide footprint with unique platform requirements for scale performance and high reliability and resiliency is a must.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

The ideal candidate is a true “path finder” and “innovator”. (S)he has knowledge of the latest cloud technology trends and is intensely keen to experiment, learn new technologies. This technology leader builds a close working relationship with individual engineers, technical, people leaders as well as product, GTM organizations to synthesize customer needs, market/competitive trends to dream, drive, implement new innovations while catering to the run rate roadmap needs, architectural, technology tweaks.  The ideal candidate has experience engaging with customers, strategic partners for shaping integration, interoperation and joint technology vision plans.  This “hands on” technologist will “roll up” their sleeves to write “path finding” code to set direction to the broader team, solve challenging problems and direct other engineering team members on building features, capabilities that are tailored for large enterprise. Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in architect, principal technologist roles designing, building cloud, embedded platforms and systems
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) technology stacks including databases, message buses, AI foundational elements
  • Experience with observability, best in class cloud operations framework is a strong plus
  • Deep experience working with various open-source technology components
  • Experience in the areas of Data Science, AI/ML frameworks, algorithms and productizing customer facing “high value” AI features
  • Hands on experience working with various programming and scripting languages used in backend/UI implementations (C, C++, Java, Go Lang, JavaScript, Python etc)
  • Experience mentoring and directing 100’s of engineers on architecture, technology component choices and solving challenging system level problems
  • Experience guiding QA teams, methodologies with a focus on automation with low/no code frameworks to scale QA teams, infrastructure
  • Experience working with, guiding SRE/Cloud Ops teams on CI/CD models, high availability, proactive alerting, mitigation framework to guarantee high SLAs of cloud applications
  • Experience presenting, interacting with CXOs within the company as well as customers, partners and tailoring technology conversations at the right level of abstraction based on the audience
  • Demonstrate tact working with customers in difficult product quality related escalation conversations
  • Strong experience with the overall customer, product lifecycle – Try/Buy/Operate/Renew & Day 0, Day 1 – N operational needs, deep understanding of friction points
  • Experience working collaboratively with teams across multiple countries, time zones understanding cultural sensitivities
  • A strong team player with a singular focus on customer needs, customer satisfaction, with a “bias towards fast execution” is a must
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field is a strong plus

Location

Campbell, CA

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $167,500 to $290,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
