About the Role

Mission Lane is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to drive our push toward best in class data usage via analytical engineering, business intelligence and data analysis. This role is critical in our mission to drive value for our customers through the development and delivery of advanced data solutions used across the enterprise.
Our core tech stack includes: GCP / Snowflake / Alation / DBT / Python / SQL / Tableau / Monte Carlo

The impact you’ll make:

  • Partner with data engineering, product and business partner teams to define, design, analyze, and report on key drivers that impact Mission Lane performance across the organization
  • Develop and maintain high quality, scalable analytic data pipelines that enable analysis, reporting and operational performance
  • Identify business, technical and data challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
  • Partner with the larger Data organization to identify and implement best practices for high quality, scalable easy-to-use solutions that keep Mission Lane at the forefront of data-based decision-making
  • Provide advice and education in the usage and interpretation of data to the business users, including on-boarding and training new team members

You have:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in roles focused on leveraging data to drive strategic decision making
  • Expertise in leveraging SQL for building and analyzing datasets 
  • Experience developing analytical data models in dbt
  • Used data management best practices that further enable automated & trusted reporting
  • Summarize key insights for both technical and non-technical audiences through dashboards, presentations, and written reports
  • Practical experience in driving the automation of data integrity monitoring within business critical data processes
  • Experience working closely with business teams to define intent for operational data processes and the ability to execute on that intent with high quality results

You get bonus points for:

  • Experience leveraging Python to execute statistical analysis and automating workflows 
  • 2+ years of experience with Tableau
  • Experience with credit bureau and/or financial services data
  • Experience managing data platforms (dbt, Tableau, Alation, Snowflake, etc)

Compensation

Annual full-time base salary range: $130,000 - $158,000

Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program and equity are dependent on role.  Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role. Mission Lane also offers a comprehensive benefits plan, which includes unlimited paid time off, 401(k) match, a monthly wellness stipend, health/ dental/ vision insurance options, disability coverage, paid parental leave, flexible spending account (for childcare and healthcare), life insurance, and a remote-friendly work environment.
