PublicSquare is America's leading commerce and payments ecosystem that serves customers and businesses that value life, family, and freedom. PublicSquare operates under three segments: Marketplace, Financial Technology, and Brands. The primary mission of the Marketplace segment is to help consumers “shop their values” and put purpose behind their purchases. PublicSquare leverages data and insights from the Marketplace to assess its customers’ needs and provide wholly-owned quality financial products and brands. PublicSquare’s Financial Technology segment includes Credova, a consumer financing and payments company. PublicSquare’s Brands segment consists of D2C companies, like EveryLife, a premium life-affirming baby products company.
Our Principal Credit Engineer will build and deliver consumer facing web applications and APIs that are easy for end users to use to delight our customers. You will be leading a team of engineers to work closely with business stakeholders to define requirements, architect solutions, and deliver high quality software and systems. You will have a strong passion for automation and testing focusing on quality, cost reductions, security, and compliance.
Our FinTech products are API first solutions which requires thinking about the full developer lifecycle including integration, developer documentation, and post-integration support, monitoring, and logging.
Your key job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Helping architect, develop and deliver high quality solutions for our consumer payments/credit products (respectively)
- Setting and maintaining product and engineering standards within the team
- Working closely with business stakeholders to define and align on product requirements and roadmaps
- Helping grow and develop fellow engineers on the product
- Constantly looking for opportunities to automate and improve aspects of the product and engineering processes
- Writing and maintaining developer documentation
Requirements
- A strong passion for automation and testing
- Strong proficiency with .NET/C#
- Proficiency with React or NextJS
- Experience build and delivering cloud native applications
- Experience leading engineering teams
- Experience working with business stakeholders to define requirements and turn requirements into process or software solutions
- Excellent writing and presentation communication skills
Desired Experience
- Experience in the FinTech industry
- Experience building consumer-facing APIs
- Experience with PCI and SOC2 security and compliance requirements
- DevOps experience provisioning and managing at least one cloud provider
