Principal AI Architect

The Principal AI Architect will be responsible for defining and leading the overall technical vision, architecture, and strategy of Intapp’s Intelligent Cloud platform. You will be an executive-level, hands-on leader, ensuring Intapp’s technology and product portfolio is scalable, integrated, and AI-enabled. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to design and deploy integrated solutions that meet present and future client needs, applying AI throughout the platform while upholding industry compliance standards and principles of Responsible AI.

What you will do:

• Architectural Strategy and Leadership: Develop and drive Intapp's platform and AI architecture vision, setting standards and best practices for a secure, scalable, and high-performance environment on Azure.
• End-to-End AI Enablement: Lead the design of AI/ML enablement within the platform, ensuring seamless integration of AI functionalities such as data ingestion, model lifecycle management, and monitoring for AI-driven insights.
• Emerging Technology Evaluation: Research and assess new AI/ML technologies, ensuring that the platform remains cutting-edge and strategically aligned with business objectives and industry trends.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Act as a key liaison between engineering, product, and business stakeholders, translating business goals into actionable architectural designs and ensuring cohesive alignment.
• Establish Technical Standards and Governance: establish technology standards, guidelines, and best practices, including coding standards, security protocols, and integration frameworks, to ensure consistency across products and teams. Oversee architectural governance boards, reviewing and approving major technical decisions and ensuring compliance with architectural standards across the organization’s portfolio.
• Performance Optimization and Cost Management: Direct initiatives to monitor, optimize, and manage platform performance and cost-efficiency, utilizing advanced tools and techniques on Azure to maintain high availability and scalability.
• Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a collaborative environment that supports innovation, knowledge-sharing, and career development within the architecture team.

What you need:

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in enterprise platform architecture, with extensive experience in Azure environments and cloud-native service design.
• Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to articulate complex platform and AI concepts to diverse audiences, with demonstrated leadership experience in guiding technology evaluations and mentoring teams.
• Technical Leadership: Proven ability to influence strategic direction and lead architectural decisions in cross-functional team settings.
• AI/ML Enablement: Strong background in AI/ML frameworks, architectures, and model lifecycle management within enterprise platforms.
• Software Development Proficiency: Expertise in programming languages, SQL and NoSQL databases, and event-driven systems such as Kafka, focused on building scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Security and Scalability Focus: Strong background in architecting secure, scalable platforms on Azure, with a commitment to operational excellence, data security, and optimized resource management.

What will be nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with MLOps, model management, and AI-driven observability.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Responsible AI practices and data governance.
• Passion for staying updated on industry trends and advancements in platform architecture and AI
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience

Your actual base salary will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, geographic location, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, variable compensation and equity may also be included.
