Your role at Dynatrace
Dynatrace is seeking an Architect, who will be responsible for leading the development and scaling of technical solutions underpinning the Dynatrace portfolio of services offerings The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience architecting and implementing Dynatrace solutions for large companies in various industries, and experience or deep interest in services product management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert on Dynatrace techniques and best practices, combining product expertise with your skills and knowledge
- Partner with multi-functional teams, including Product Management, Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, Technical Enablement, Education, and Support to improve product offerings and service delivery
- Provide technical and thought leadership through focused solutions that deliver significant customer value while helping to differentiate Dynatrace against its competition.
- Collaborate with Services Delivery teams to scale delivery by creating best practice documents, designing innovative new approaches and driving a consistent delivery experience for all customers
- Design and develop prescriptive value realization journeys that delivers clear technical and business outcomes to Dynatrace customers at every journey phase.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs, challenges, and feedback related to service offerings, and use insights to continuously improve and optimize offerings and customer experience

Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing, architecting and/or implementing Dynatrace based observability services and solutions
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 2-3+ years hands-on design and programming in some object-oriented language, preferably in a Java or .NET environment, preferably on medium-to-large online systems. This is not a programming position, but our team routinely works with customer developers and architects and must have these skills to be credible. Appropriate university-level programming coursework may be acceptablef2-3+ years consulting, presales, or support experience with application-focused software requiring interactions outside of the data center (other APM tools; large, packaged apps; not simply infrastructure) • Architectural understanding of either the JEE or .NET platform and how it works, and a self-directed willingness to learn about other platform and "new stack" technologies such as PHP, node.js, Docker, etc
Preferred Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience scaling technical delivery of consulting services globally by documenting best practices, creating reference architectures and enabling field consultants
- Experience with data presentation via charts and dashboards • Understanding of code- and container-level performance tuning, troubleshooting, and architecture best practices in large multi-tier and SOA-based applications
- Proven problem-solving nature, with an engaged, self-motivated, can-do attitude • Comfortable doing common Windows and Linux administration, and with Linux/UNIX command line
- Comfortable creating and maintaining personal virtual machines (Windows and Linux guest OSes) with products such VMWare Workstation, Parallels, or VirtualBox • Excellent verbal and written English or regional communication skills and attention to detail
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving business impact and delivering measurable results.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements. • Intellectually curios and creative with a customer-centric orientation • Some travel will be required but will typically be less than 25%
