Salary Range:

$90,400.00 - $196,200.00

Role Summary

AVEVA is looking for a passionate and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in development, pipeline automation, software development platform administration, and technical support. As a DevOps Engineer at AVEVA, you will be instrumental in enhancing the developer experience for our community of over 3000 developers by creating and automating tools that accelerate delivery. Our mission is to standardize, streamline, and simplify platforms and tooling, enabling our customers to focus on what they do best: coding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement solutions for software development platforms to standardize our development practices.
  • Administer, integrate, and configure various software development platforms and third-party tools.
  • Configure capabilities, deploy images, and maintain CI/CD agent infrastructure and Azure Container Registry.
  • Utilize observability tools and analyze data to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, developers, and stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and debug solutions, pipelines, and services to support developers and ensure product delivery.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, processes, and workflows.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance development platforms and support processes.

Ideal Experience

  • Proficiency in C# & .NET Framework with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience with Cloud Services, preferably Azure technologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database structures.
  • Experience with REST-based integrations.
  • Proficiency in using Visual Studio IDE to build solutions.
  • Familiarity with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Scripting skills with PowerShell.
  • Experience with software development platforms such as Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), YAML-based pipelines, and Terraform.
  • Adherence to SDLC practices: Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, Maintenance, and Documentation.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools, DevOps principles, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, preferably Kubernetes.

Desired Experience

  • Experience with observability platforms, preferably DataDog.
  • Strong understanding of cryptography.

Essential Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps or Developer role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
