About the Role

LendingClub is looking for an energetic, self-starter Digital Performance Marketing Manager to support the Director Of Digital Performance Marketing to drive new and existing customer acquisition strategies through digital channels. As a Digital Performance Marketing Manager, you will support the optimization of the current marketing programs leveraging data-driven insights to achieve measurable results. The channels of focus will be primarily on Paid Search and SEO with the potential to expand into other areas. You will have experience managing digital channels, will be able to work closely with management to interpret findings and make strategic product and service recommendations. A key component of this role will be the effective oversight and management of external digital marketing agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the fintech landscape and a proven track record of success in digital marketing. This person should exhibit leadership skills in owning projects from beginning to end, a collaborative nature, with a team player approach.

What You'll Do

Strategy Development and Execution  

  • Primary oversight of Paid Search and SEO campaigns for Personal Loans product with support of other digital channels including Paid Social and Display with Performance Marketing Agency and Analytics support 

  • Develop Total Search strategy to optimize paid and organic results and drive growth volume 

  • Identify and evaluate emerging digital marketing trends and technologies, particularly in the SEO and Paid Search space 

Performance Marketing & Optimization  

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track campaign effectiveness and ROI, with a focus on search channel metrics. 

  • Optimize campaigns based on data-driven insights to maximize conversions and minimize customer acquisition costs (CAC), specifically within SEM. 

  • Manage ad creative and landing page testing process. 

  • Provide strategic recommendations and maintain creative (ad copy, banners) and landing page testing calendar to optimize conversion. 

 

Agency Oversight:  

  • Manage and oversee relationships with external digital marketing agencies, ensuring alignment with company goals and budget. 

  • Provide clear direction and feedback to agencies, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work. 

  • Evaluate agency performance against agreed-upon KPIs and provide regular reporting to management. 

  • Negotiate contracts and manage agency budgets effectively. 

  • Ensure agency compliance with company policies and industry regulations. 

 

Team Collaboration & Management  

  • Work with internal teams (e.g. legal, product, operations, finance) to drive all new channel initiatives. 

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to align on and define timelines and coordinate processes to launch new campaigns and projects from ideation to launch.. 

  • Ensure all digital marketing activities comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices, especially within the fintech sector, with a focus on advertising compliance. 

About You

    • 4+ years of Marketing experience in growth, performance marketing and/or digital marketing roles 

    • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights and KPIs  

    • Experience working with online ad platforms like Google Ads, Google Search Console, BrightEdge, Google DV360, The Trade Desk, Meta, YouTube 

    • Performance Marketing Agency or management of agency experience preferred  

    • Familiarity with marketing analytics platforms and marketing technology (cookies, pixels, UTMs, etc.). 

    • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders 

    • Bachelors degree in marketing, business, or a related field

We are currently working a hybrid schedule and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
 
Time Zone Requirements 
Local hours (PT, ET)
Travel Requirements 
If you need to travel for work, LendingClub will cover your travel related expenses.
 
Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is 109,000-128,000. The position is also eligible to receive a bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings), equityand benefits. Our salary ranges, other compensation and benefits offered are determined by role, experience level and location.
