About the Role

We are seeking a People Operations Specialist who will be key in ensuring seamless people processes through onboarding, offboarding, facilities, HR systems administration, employee engagement, and more! You will work closely with cross functional teams to create an exceptional employee experience while maintaining operational efficiency. This role requires a hands on, detail-oriented and proactive approach to managing and upleveling Cyberhaven’s people programs in a heavy people facing role. In addition, candidates must be based in the Bay Area as this will be a hybrid role with two days in office per week in Sunnyvale, CA.

What you’ll do:

  • Onboard and Offboard Employees:

    • Own the new hire onboarding experience with a focus on providing a strong employee experience to the new hire and their manager. The onboarding experience starts from an offer accept and includes being the new hire’s HR point of contact, onboarding the new hire to our HR systems, managing first day and first week company-wide onboarding sessions, managing and reporting on the new hire survey, and more.

    • Iterate on the existing onboarding experience with cross functional teams to provide a stronger launch for Cyberhaven new hires. We have not updated our onboarding experience in over a year, so it’s time to review, learn, and continuously improve!

    • Manage the offboarding process to ensure compliance and a positive transition for exiting Cyberhaven employees and their manager.

  • Facilities:

    • Assist in the opening of our Sunnyvale, CA office in April/May 2025 including vendor coordination (movers, furniture, landlord, etc.), move-in communication plan creation and execution, etc.

    • Office manager duties for our Sunnyvale, CA office after move-in including maintaining office inventory, managing the weekly lunch program, coordinating with visitors, employees and the building manager, executing office employee engagement events, and more.

    • Assist in the opening of our Austin, TX office in April/May 2025 including vendor coordination (movers, furniture, landlord, etc.), move-in communication plan creation and execution, etc.

  • Employee Engagement:

    • Manage the employee swag program from vendor management, sending new hires swag links and mailing swag internationally, maintaining inventory levels, analyzing swag selection and costs to ensure effective spend, refreshing swag options, etc.

    • Ideate and execute on company-wide employee engagement events for our hybrid and remote employee base to increase company-wide engagement levels.

    • Act as an HR resource for employees to answer any HR related questions from benefits, policies/programs and more.

  • HR Systems Administration

    • HRIS administration with a keen eye for detail including new hires, address changes, promotions, manager changes, etc.

    • Lattice performance management system administration including org changes, performance review configuration and management, engagement survey confirmation and management, etc.

    • Sequoia Bswift administration for address changes, QLEs, etc.

    • Mineral administration for employee training compliance.

    • Assist with people analytics, generate reports, and provide insights on workforce trends.

  • Policies

    • Assist in creating company-wide policies around paid-time off, parental leave, etc.

    • Assist in the refresh of the company-wide handbook for US and non-US employees.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Generalist, or a related field

  • Experience in a fast past startup environment, preferably a SaaS startup. Knowing how to pivot quickly and execute efficiently.

  • Previous experience in building and/or improving upon a new hire onboarding program preferred.

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Comfortable working with various HR systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a high employee facing role.

  • The one requirement - You must be based in the Bay Area to be eligible for this role. This will be a hybrid role with 2 days per week required in-office (Sunnyvale, CA).

Compensation Range: $90,000 - $120,000
