Job Description

The People Operations Project Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and implementing people-related projects and initiatives across the organization. This individual works closely with senior leadership and HR teams to ensure the smooth execution of various projects related to reporting, managing the HRIS, employee engagement, organizational development, and other people-centered processes. The role focuses on driving efficiency and effectiveness in people operations through data-driven decision-making, process optimization, and strong project management. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Project Management: 
  • Lead and oversee the successful execution of people operations projects, including reporting, data management, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and retention initiatives. 
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring all deliverables are met. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage resources to achieve project objectives. 
  • Regularly communicate project status to your manager and stakeholders, highlighting risks, issues, and milestones. 
  1. Process Improvement: 
  • Identify and implement process improvements across people operations functions (reporting, recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, employee development).
  • Identify areas of automation to decrease the load on the people team.
  1. Data and Reporting: 
  • Use HR analytics to monitor and track the success of people operations programs and initiatives. 
  • Generate reports and insights on key performance metrics related to employee engagement, retention, and other people metrics. 
  1. Change Management: 
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and ensure smooth transitions during changes in processes, policies, or structures. 
  • Ensure the communication of changes is clear and consistent across all levels of the organization. 



Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., PMP, SHRM-CP) are a plus. 
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in people operations, HR, or project management roles. 
  • Project Management: Strong experience in leading cross-functional projects 
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization. 
  • Data-Driven: Comfortable with HR metrics, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, HRIS). 
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and strategically to solve complex problems. 
  • Change Management: Experience in managing organizational change and implementing new initiatives. 
  • Team-Oriented: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, managing multiple stakeholders. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Knowledge of HR software and systems (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, ADP). 
  • Familiarity with labor laws and regulations. 
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills. 
  • Experience in a global organization with diverse workforce needs.
