The Defense Systems Group (DSG) provides analysis-based decision support to senior leaders on space architectures, policy and strategy, developmental planning, system of systems engineering, and threat reduction to help shape future space missions across the national security space enterprise. DSG is unique at Aerospace as it not only directly supports major customers, including United States Space Force, United States Space Command, Air Force Material Command, and senior leadership at the Pentagon, but also provides a broad range of services and support across the national space enterprise, maintaining vertical responsibilities with customers but also horizontal, matrixed responsibilities across the corporation.
Next Gen GEO (NGG) Program Office is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Engineer to join our growing team in delivering critical functionalities for Missile Warning and Missile Tracking mission area. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, integration, testing, and validation of various subsystems and components within our next generation satellite platform.

This position is 100% onsite in El Segundo, California.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute comprehensive program level integration plans for NGG in support of the customer SEIT IPT Lead.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of test procedures, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct system-level integration testing, including verification of functional requirements, performance benchmarks, and operational capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all SEIT activities, including test plans, reports, procedures, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with subsystem engineers to identify and resolve technical challenges during the development and integration process.
  • Provide expert guidance on system architecture, design trade-offs, and verification strategies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of SEIT processes and best practices.


What You Need to be Successful - Project Engineer, Systems Test Engineering
Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in SEIT within the satellite industry or a similar high-technology environment
  • Understanding of space mission design, system architecture, and integration principles
  • Expertise in developing and executing complex test plans and procedures.
  • Proficient with various test equipment and software tools
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance


How You Can Stand Out

  • Master's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Experience with specific satellite subsystems (e.g., propulsion, power, communications)
  • Familiarity with SSC/industry standards and regulations
  • Knowledge of Agile Mission Assurance methodologies.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget


We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$117,300 - $175,900
