Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the Ryder IT Network Group, you are responsible for maintaining a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment to ensure a stable, reliable network operation

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the quality and reliability of telecommunications throughout the Ryder Ecommerce network; Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings; Provide Tier 4 support for escalated network and system issues; Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network emergencies or incidents promptly; Monitor network performance and capacity (availability, utilization, throughput, latency) to identify and address potential bottlenecks or issues proactively
  • Oversee large-scale network upgrades and projects; Serve as technical lead to team of network engineers/analysts on daily and strategic network projects; Design, implement, and manage complex WAN/LAN network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices
  • Perform network configuration and troubleshooting to resolve complex network issues and ensure smooth operation
  • Collaborate with security to ensure compliance with network industry standards; Secure critical IT systems, including servers, networks, and storage solutions; Ensure critical updates are tested and deployed in a timely manner; Manage user remote access, VPN configurations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements; Maintain Disaster Recovery documentation; Document processes, network configurations, and troubleshooting steps for systems and applications; Develop, define and monitor network/security policies for the use of network resources
  • Work closely with customers, vendors and other departments, including operations, engineering, and management; Ability to guide future decisions to ensure Network services continue to meet the needs of Customers

Education

BS Computer Science - Preferred

                            

Experience

10+ years of Relevant large scale IT network infrastructure Required

3+ years of Cisco networking Technologies Required

5+ years of SDWAN, Fortinet, Fortigate firewalls Required

2+ years of FortiNac, FortiEMS, FortiAnalyzer Preferred

2+ years ofKnowledge of Network Management software and networking protocols SolarWinds, TCP/IP, L2/L#, DNS, DHCP Required

                            

Skills and Abilities

Leadership - Both as an IC and a people leader; both in person and remote

Project management - Design, analysis, optimization and network security

Troubleshooting - Able to analyze complex network issues

Critical Thinking - Able to problem solve and resolve complex issues

Knowledge

Data center Networking and virtualization Technologies 

Expertise in the design, analysis, optimization and operation of Network Security services

Knowledge of VMWare virtual infrastructure

Experience deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting wireless infrastructure. Familiar with Aruba access points, controllers, Airwave management; Hands on experience configuring and working with Firewalls and security appliances -  VPN’s, Policies, NAT’s, etc; Experience deploying/managing Network Access Control solutions

Compensation Information:

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type:

Salaried

Minimum Pay Range:

$95,000.00

Maximum Pay Range:

$105,000.00
