The Program Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the Cloud Migration program at McKesson’s Oncology and Specialty business unit. This role involves overseeing the migration of clinical applications to the cloud, ensuring scalability, reliability, and business continuity. The Program Manager will collaborate with various departments, including IT, operations, network, Cloud Infrastructure, Ontada and customer success, to drive the successful execution of the initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Cloud Migration Initiative, including the migration of USON clinical applications and Ontada applications to the cloud.
  • Develop and manage program charter, project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful program delivery covering multiple business units.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, network, Cloud Infrastructure, Ontada and customer success, to align project goals and objectives.
  • Partner with AMO, PMO and Program Leaders to identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Communicate program and initiative status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior leadership through well-established McKesson Technology Service Operating Model processes.
  • Ensure compliance with McKesson's cloud security standards and governance framework.
  • Drive continuous improvement in program management processes and methodologies.

Key Competencies: 

  • Cloud Technologies Expertise: Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure and private cloud, including cloud migration and modernization strategies.
  • Strategic Planning: The ability to lead and oversee the planning and execution of cloud transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction
  • Program Management: Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex programs involving multiple initiatives. Experience with program planning, project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Vendor Management: The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, oversee contract creation and management, monitor vendor performance, manage risks and costs, ensure compliance with regulations, and align vendor activities with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Excellent leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units. Ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate project risks and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Healthcare IT Knowledge: Experience with healthcare IT and clinical applications is preferred.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with McKesson's cloud security standards, governance framework and Healthcare compliance regulations.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen, including experience in program budget management and financial analysis.
  • Adaptability: The ability to quickly adapt and adjust to change.

Minimum Requirements

10+ years of experience in program or project management, with a focus on cloud migration and modernization in healthcare and preferably Oncology setting.

Critical Skills: 

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex programs covering multiple large and complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, including Azure and Private clouds.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in managing diverse vendors for successful program delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare IT and clinical applications.
  • Knowledge of McKesson's business processes and systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across the organization.

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technical or Healthcare Related field.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$133,300 - $222,100
