Team Description:

The Order to Cash team is global and has three locations: Dublin, Austin, and Gurgaon. The Director, Global Billing leads the team. We are both internal and external customer-facing. This team is a high-performing, collaborative team of overachievers and driven professionals.

Position Responsibilities Include:
  • Oversee and plan the day-to-day operations for the Marketplace Billing Team
  • An ideal candidate will ensure all team members' tasks are allocated and planned according to the OTC Matrix
  • Track the team's KPIs related to transactional activities and communicate these to the Billing Supervisor
  • Responsible for refreshing and creating all documentation related to transactional tasks
  • In charge of quarterly training sessions for all team members and assisting junior team members with approvals and questions
  • Manage the Credits and Rebill process E2E, including reaching for approvals to different teams and processing the RMA in Netsuite
  • Assist junior members with escalations and complex deal reviews
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor of Marketplace Billing to oversee and streamline the Marketplace billing operations process
  • Assist the Supervisor of Marketplace Billing with projects in a hands-on manner
  • Work with teams outside of OTC, particularly the technical team, with projects and day-today activities when needed
  • Provide input on process improvements that align with MDB accounting practices
  • Responsible for month-end activities and managing month-end reporting
  • Pivots to support transactional functions as needed
  • Be able to work long hours during Quarter-end

Candidate Profile Includes:

  • At least 3+ years of Billing or Finance experience
  • The ideal candidate is comfortable working under pressure, critically thinks on decisions in line with business perspective for the Marketplace team’s benefit.
  • Must have advanced Excel skills and a basic understanding of SQL.   
  • Able to draw KPIs and illustrate data for supervisors and managers to facilitate accurate decision-making.  
  • Strong communication skills, ability to liaise with different levels and roles across MongoDB.
  • Has an ability to work independently.   
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data. 
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment supporting corporate customers is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring that work is consistently clean and high-quality
  • Familiarity with legal agreements and contracts related to order processing
  • Above-average organizational skills and adequate time prioritization are essential.
  • Be comfortable to jump transactional activities when necessary 
  • Be comfortable making decisions with only 80% of the information, rather than needing all the details

Success Measures:

The Billing lead will be successful in this role when they can execute the following strategic tasks/responsibilities:

  • In 3-6 months, we will be fully ramped and taking ownership of day-to-day tasks. I will have participated actively in a quarter-end close
  • In 6 -12 months, you’ll have accomplished ownership of the billing processes
  • In 12 months, I will have established rapport with Order-To-Cash global members and multiple teams within the company

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. $53,000$105,000 USD
