Salary: $80,000-$100,000

York’s complete Space Segment Solution includes spacecraft production, payload integration, system integration & test, launch services, ground segment services, and mission operations, enabling customers to leverage York’s existing technology solutions to get to orbit rapidly and responsively. We’re looking to expand our team across the board.
Responsibilities will include creating/maintaining manufacturing process plans and work instructions. Develop and execute roadmaps to streamline process by leveraging new tooling, equipment and/or technologies. Develop and validate manufacturing processes, tooling and/or equipment, as well as production line layout required to optimize spacecraft build. Manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) within ERP environment and coordinate changes/improvements with design engineering. Coordinate across functional disciplines to solve technical and production problems to minimize impacts to production workflow. Provide floor support for the development and execution of complex space hardware assembly and test. We are looking for team members that are excited about being part of a close-knit team of individuals. Must be passionate about space systems and have the desire to continuously learn and improve.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-10 years of professional experience within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic and mechanical assembly drawings and define manufacturing steps to meet all requirements.
- Competent user of common computer programs (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Previous IPC certifications for electronic and harnessing assemblies (e.g., IPC-610, IPC-7711/7721, WHMA-620D and/or NASA J-STD-00).
- Experience with electronics manufacturing processes (i.e., hand solder, bonding, conformal coating, wiring, crimping).
- Lean Six Sigma certifications.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing and aerospace products.
- Technical writing skills.
- Experience with ERP systems/tools.
- Experience developing manufacturing processes.
