Founded by former Workday clients, we value partnership and engagement as a cornerstone of our business. With years of functional and technical experience in all phases of Workday's deployment life cycle, we can determine the most efficient integration designs and rapid deployment strategies. We develop maintainable solutions and provide support for integration testing and updates for new Workday releases.

The Manager of Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) will lead a team responsible for customer account management with an emphasis on revenue generation and opportunity pursuit. The SAM team will manage a regional portfolio of engaged customers, focusing on driving new sales expansion through upsells and add-ons within the AMS customer base. As the manager, you will guide the SAMs in collaborating with internal teams to identify, pursue, negotiate, and close sales opportunities, while also ensuring the maintenance of relationships with AMS customers. You will partner with Workday RSDs and CBAEs to meet customer needs and help identify and nurture expansion opportunities.

In addition to leading the SAM team, this role requires a hands-on approach to customer relationships, requiring personal accountability for results and a willingness to go the extra mile for each customer. This remote position can be based anywhere in the U.S.

Key Expectations:

  • Lead and support the SAM team in driving new sales expansion within AMS (upsells & add-ons)
  • Guide the team in identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, working with Solution Architects, negotiating, and closing deals
  • Pass Extend/BOW, Competitive, or Ramp to Prime opportunities to Business Development
  • Ensure SAMs are maintaining relationships with AMS customers and collaborating with Workday RSDs and CBAEs to uncover new opportunities for expansion
  • Ensure the SAM team periodically aligns with AMS Client Contacts (ACC) to stay updated on customer needs
  • Represent the company at regional Workday events to foster engagement and business growth
  • Provide coaching to SAMs on managing high volumes of customer accounts using exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Foster clear communication and collaboration within the SAM team, working cross-functionally with ACCs, Sales, AMS teams, and PS leaders
  • Ensure the SAM team is prepared to effectively engage with customers and pivot when needed, both virtually and in person
  • Partner with Workday CBAEs to educate the team on Intecrowd capabilities and identify expansion opportunities

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Previous sales or business development experience in the Workday ecosystem is a MUST
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving team sales goals, including opening and closing opportunities
  • Extensive account management and strategic planning experience, with demonstrated ability to support multiple customers effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Strong ability to engage at the C-level
  • Experience working cross-functionally across corporate teams such as AMS, Managing Professional Services, and Executive Leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership aligned with the company’s Values and Guiding Principles
