Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together. The Company’s three core products are Snapchat, a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world; Lens Studio, an augmented reality platform that powers AR across Snapchat and other services; and its AR glasses, Spectacles.

The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members. This passionate team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.

We’re looking for a Manager for SMB Advertising to join our Communications team! This is a strategic role focused on driving Snap’s global narrative around our small and medium-sized business (SMB) advertising business – with a key end goal of increased consideration and adoption among these marketers. We are seeking a communication leader with proficiency in digital and performance marketing, experience in media relations and event planning and support, and collaboration with senior business executives. This role will help write, shape, and drive Snap’s global advertising communications narrative, proactively pitch and land strategic B2B-focused press stories, prepare spokespeople for interviews and public speaking, handle reactive media inquiries, and help drive Snap’s SMB events strategy.

What you’ll do:

  • Work directly with key cross-functional partners to develop and drive Snap’s SMB narrative and increase consideration and adoption of Snapchat advertising among SMB marketers around the world

  • Take a leadership role in formalizing and furthering Snap’s SMB events strategy, and provide support and training for spokespeople

  • Work closely with Comms team members to identify and pitch stories to marketing and tech media – including new performance advertising product launches, promotion of specific partner case studies on Snapchat, and strategic stories furthering Snap’s B2B, and particularly SMB and performance marketing narrative

  • Work with teammates to plan and help execute strategic ad product launches, from writing pitches and media FAQs, to developing creative assets and interfacing with global colleagues across time zones

  • Follow and regularly brief internal partners on marketing and SMB industry news and trends to advise strategic decisions, as well as identify important upcoming media moments and short and long-term risks related to our narrative

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of and experience working in the SMB and/or performance marketing space, with marketing media, and experience with tech and broader business media a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized and able to manage competing deadlines from internal and external stakeholders

  • Creativity, resourcefulness, and curiosity as well as a high level of professional integrity and confidentiality

  • Hands-on self-starter with a curiosity around business and the marketing industry

  • Collaborative team player who embodies our values of kind, smart and creative

  • Ability to collaborate closely across our Communications, Sales, Marketing, Product and Creative Strategy teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience

  • 8+ years experience in a related role
